It never came to your mind that some people buy a.) the Pass + Progress (10 Tiers) and then b.) use gems to get to Tier 30 to unlock the Brawler on day 1? 🤦♂️

I was wondering if it would be more fair to do +/- 2 level matchmaking of the average league of the entire team rather than the highest teammate. I'm sure it's much more complicated than that and you guys understand the system better than anyone (especially me). It seems like accounting for average team league might result in fairer matchups. Maybe there's too much room for abuse for a system like that though 🤷♂️
That's the exact issue with using averages, I'm afraid. There might be more complex rules/systems, but we prefer to keep things somewhat simple.
Somewhat unlucky and on the extreme side, but working as intended.
When playing in Team Mode the highest player in the team is used to determine the matchmaking, in this case Diamond III (Thor).
Since you can be matched +/-2 ranks, the possible opponents (again, Team Score) for this match-up are from Diamond I on the low end and Mythic II on the high end, as seen here. 😉

Nobody is getting "free" Legendary II. Above is a display issue. Before the "last" Clubs in a specific league are matched into a League, we hold back and build smaller groups of around ~6 Clubs.
Nobody is alone as implied above.

The limit will be removed! As for other progression improvements, we haven’t really discussed properly after the update. But we do wanna address all the biggest concerns you guys bring. Can’t promise to fix all of them, but definitely improve some bits (:
