We are still investigating what might be causing this. In the meantime, please try to delete both the following files: modlist.txt and servermodlist.txt
After deleting them, try to verify files on Steam again.

Were you on a stable internet connection when you noticed this issue or were you trying to play offline perhaps?
Do you have any mods installed (even if you’re not loading them to play)?
Did you try to verify files on Steam?
Additionally, from your picture, it seems you were holding the construction hammer while trying to craft the bookcase. Can you try to leave your character’s hand empty when using the artisan table?
