The reason for the beta was to test server stability, scale and ov we rall stability. That's what betas are for. (At leat ours)

Usually how it works is that we branch very early which means that most of the game isn't ready, functional or tweaked so we turn most of the features off. Then we stabalize a subset of features that we feel confortable with so people playing the beta can still have fun but it's not representable of the release version at all. This is all done to gather information so we can tweak, fix bugs, and load balance the final release so we can have rhe smoothest/best release possible

It's usually a few hundred players at peak hours depending on platform. We stopped supporting it around 2019 roughly a year after Vermintide 2 came out since almost all of our players migrated to Vermintide 2

Heroes!

Throughout February, there will be some intermittent interruptions of the (now legacy) tech that drives Twitch Mode in Vermintide 2. This will ultimately lead to a “permanent” shut down on the last day of the month. We still have some work to implement the changes needed to retool the Twitch Mode to work with the new tech in place.

As soon as the changes are implemented and verified on our side, we’ll work to hotfix the issue for our PC players. There will be a more protracted downtime for our players on PlayStation and Xbox as we will likely place fixes into the next content updates on those platforms.

Twitch have published the schedule for the planned downtimes of this service:

  • February 9, 2022 – 2-hour shutdown starting at 11:00am PDT (8:00 pm CET)
  • February 14, 2022 – 4-hour shutdown starting at 11:00am PDT
  • February 16, 2022 – 6-hour shutdown starting at 11:00am PDT

Reposting from another thread for visibility:

The mod author uploaded an updated but unsanctioned bundle with the old certificate. This makes EAC unhappy as the bundle signature does not match the one in the cert.

I've gone ahead and manually removed the Sanctioned tag so you should at least get a warning when trying to launch with it enabled. Furthermore, I've reached out to the mod author (prop joe) to see if I can help getting it sanctioned.

This is a visual bug that happens on clients whenever a troll has their max health increased by a modifier. It's on the radar and will be fixed on an upcoming patch. Thanks for the report!

There seems to have been an issue with the capitalization of tags in the Steam Workshop (approved vs Approved) resulting in some mods losing their Approved tag.

It's a bit late here right now so we'll open an investigation tomorrow. For now, I've gone through all sanctioned mods and manually added the right tags.

To ensure mods are loaded, you might have to unsubscribe/resubscribe and ensure that mods are enabled and in the right order in the launcher.

Sorry to hear that automatic blocking has been interfering with the photoshoots. Here's a workaround:

  1. Subscribe and activate a mod that allows executing Lua in-game, like prop joe's Execute Lua Ingame.
  2. Execute the following code:

    mod:hook_origin(PlayerInputExtension, "is_input_blocked", NOP)

  3. Automatic blocking will be disabled for the rest of the session. It will be re-enabled if you restart the game.
