Rejects,
This is Catfish, Darktide Community Manager, here with another comm-link update! We established these comm-links to answer some of the community’s questions and to give information about upcoming patches.

We will release a tiny impromptu patch next week which will implement a few changes to the vote kick system and some small balance changes. Here are some of the changes (full patch notes will be released shortly after the patch goes live):

  • Tweaked the hitzone priority for the Rashad Mk II Combat Axe.
  • M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun:
    • Venting damage now is absorbed by toughness, at a 3x rate.
    • M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasma Gun now ignores hitzone multipliers for anything not a monstrosity.
Dev Note: "This means that the M35 Magnac... Read more

Absolutely! Our designers actively monitor and discuss feedback posted on these forums

I relayed this to one of our designers just now, and received this response:

Those are separate systems and tweakable values per weapon, which in the end works together.

A blessing that increases cleave will allow you to hit more targets, and if the weapon considers every target damagable you will damage more targets, but it won’t shift the “damage indices”. Similarly increased power blessings will increase the overall base power of the the attack, including maximum cleavable hit mass and the base value used to calculate health and impact damage.

There’s currently no features that allows shifting of these damage indices, as which targets in an attack receive what distribution of health and impact damage ...

Hey all, just to clarify things in this thread.

The values shown in the stat screen define the hit mass you can get through and not the number of targets. Each enemy has their own hit mass value, and hitting an enemy will subtract their hit mass value from the remaining hit mass “budget” for the attack - as soon as this reaches 0 or less, then the attack is stopped.

The Thunder Hammer, being a tank gestalt weapon, will allow you to hit a lot of targets but will only damage a few. So as mentioned above, damaging three targets is correct in this case, as the Thunder Hammer can only deal health damage to the first three targets it hits, but it can still keep going and knock further targets back.

Cleave and Power bonuses do increase the amount of hit mass you can get through, but do not change the damage settings for the weapon.

Cleave though shown seperately from Damage and Stagger will always be the same value.

It looks like you extracted a Blessing from the weapon on Tuesday the 11th of April at 22:04:24 UTC, which somehow occurred whilst the weapon was equipped, hence the error displayed.

I have restored the weapon for you, please see if that resolves the issue.

We’ve attempted to manually resolve the issue, could you try now please?

Hi @jack00,

Does this issue persist after restarting Darktide?

If so, could you please provide a screenshot of which items in the shop and your inventory are having this issue?

Thanks!

@Nihlus, we’ll check this out. Could you also please provide your console log from the session this happened so we can take a look?

Could you double-check for updates? It seems to think you’re running an outdated Windows build for some reason.

There seems to be some instability with certain Russian ISPs at this moment - I’m looking in to it!

Thank you  we’re on the case.

Hello! Do you have the latest Windows 10 updates installed?

It would be helpful if you could upload a console log from a session where this has occurred, and your darktide_launcher.log please.

I believe it’s intended for both Scriptures and Grimoires to advance this weekly contract, however the contract descriptions currently only list one or the other - and the descriptions need updating to state both.

I queried this internally, and received this reply

This is a case of us having presented the absolute min/max values in the patch notes. Applying the stat scaling on the ammo will put it in the 110-170 range. Prior to the patch the inspect view would have showed a range of 124-213 or thereabouts due to the absolute min/max being 90-250.

So, it’s working as intended, but it’s on us to improve the information in the patch notes.

Apologies for any confusion!

This issue is an inconvenience but usually clears on its own - are you still having problems?
