We are aware of a crash that seems to occur only on specific operatives. For example, you may be able to play as Veteran, but experience crashes when playing Psyker, or the other way around.

This is due to be addressed in our upcoming hotfix, however, you may be able to work around the issue using the instructions below:

NOTE: If Steam Cloud saving is enabled for Darktide, this may automatically restore the AppData and consequently cause the error to resurface. You can disable Steam Cloud Saving for Darktide via the Steam client by:

  1. Navigate to your Steam library
  2. Right-click Darktide
  3. Select ‘Properties’
  4. On the ‘General’ tab, scroll down to ‘Steam Cloud’
  5. Disable ‘Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’

NOTE: This will reset any custom keybindings.

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK...

We are actively investigating the error pictured below, which is occurring for some players both on launch and during play:

The directory path included in the error may not match yours, but the underling cause remains the same.

We understand this error persists despite using the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option, in addition to reinstalling, etc.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to investigate.

Existing reports may be merged here, to help us keep track of the issues being reported.

We are currently investigating an issue relating to the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. The error displayed will look like this:

this error is tricky since the logs doesn’t match the engine crash, meaning that this is not a real deadlock, but more likely a large stall that we believe is a deadlock.

One had info about sound which make sense that you have issues with sound.

The issue is that we have no way to determine what causing your stalls. I will see if we can send a build that has stall warnings enabled which we can hopefully use to track down what causing your stalls.

Unfortunately, it looks like these items may have been purchased outside of our 30-day refund window.

Our developers are looking in to this. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I’ve had some very bad news. Whilst our Backend Engineers are addressing my (lack of) ability to restore weapons, unfortunately, once the issue is resolved, we won’t be able to restore weapons deleted prior due to the nature of the issue. This is very disappointing, and I apologise for the outcome.

Got it. Please run through the steps below:

  3. Navigate to: AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
  4. Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory

You will then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option, which is accessible via the Steam client and will ensure the installation is complete.

I’ve raised this with our developers! Thanks for letting us know.

Hello! Could you show me which items you have in your store at current? Just a simple screenshot will do.

Comment

Hello! Usually, this wouldn’t be a problem, but there is a sudden issue in our backend which makes item restoration unavailable to me right now!

I’ve raised this with our Backend Engineers, and as soon as this issue is solved, I will see to this.

I’m marking this post as need-more-info so I know to return to it.

This should be addressed in our latest hotfix, unpinning.

This should now be resolved with our latest hotfix. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Make a backup of both directories (Steam Cloud data + Darktide AppData) as it’s my understanding they work in unison!
