So, when exactly did you mean by “early next week”? 😅
So, when exactly did you mean by “early next week”? 😅
Hehe we didn't have a set date yet then, but we do now. It'll be tomorrow! (Wednesday is still "early week" right? 😁)
This is nuts! We're talking about it in the studio now.
From concept to launch, read all about the creation of omnicells and learn about their future in Dauntless.

We have some HP stuff going out this week on social :)
I'm excited to see what a support role would be like in this game. Hype!
We are too! A lot of exploration and brainstorming happening right now.
The tempest design is fire
Can't wait until you have it!!!
Once we reach a point where players feel that they have enough options, we will stop creating new ones. We don’t know what that final number is, but what we do know is that we want all players to be able to find a playstyle for them.
Here's the thing: that number is infinity because players will always want more omnicells to play around with. You're never going to get enough to satisfy everyone because the playerbase will continually expect you to deliver more content. I feel like maybe you should plan around never being truly "finished" with this any more than you'll ever be "finished" adding behemoths, or weapons, or lanterns, which you should totally start expanding on now that they're much simpler in scope btw.
Yeah, we're not sure what that number is, but we'll see! I don't think we can make them FOREVER, but we definitely want a bunch of diverse ones to choose from.
Read moreRight now, Iceborne is the most commonly equipped omnicell. Discipline and Bastion are tied for second. We want to balance these to ensure a more even split across the board.
I disagree that there should be a balance. Mediocre players will always be the majority, fewer good players, then a small elite.
This means most players should be choosing survivability because your DPS is zero if you're dead. So how can you balance that?
Reducing the survivability provided by iceborne is only going to result in more dead bodies, encouraging player base segregation as the good and elite players isolate themselves in private hunts.
Improving the DPS of bastion and discipline to make them more tempting will only increase the DPS gap between skill tiers, encouraging player base segregation as the good and elite players isolate themselves in private hunts.
Nerfing behemoths or buffing slayers overall would only trivialise content f...
You make good points! I think we're trying to close the gap, but not flatten the pick rate entirely. There will always be omnicells that are made for higher skilled players who can use them effectively (and safe picks for players who need to take more hits).
The main mastery card will carry over, but the individual part ones will not (since they're not longer in the game).
Hope that makes sense!
I feel like this omnicell won’t see much use, since it relies on mobility cells to get the most out of it. Depending on how much damage is granted per perk, you would probably just be better off with regular DPS cells than waste the cell economy.
This has been redesigned somewhat since our public test. Let us know what you think!
If you're talking about the set behind the glass, I'll come to the store in the next patch (1.7.3) next Thursday!
How will each Repeaters’ variation be distributed when it’s Demodularized? Like, do I need to Power Surge every barrel to get each Behemoth’s variation Surged too? Like, a Power Surged Blaze Barrel will net me a Power Surged Hellion’s, Charrog’s and Embermane’s ?
No migration, you'll be refunded for everything and then be free to craft whatever you want. So nothing to do in preparation for the patch. 👍
I have a general idea of how the repeater refresh should work, but have one question.
Will prisms no longer be a thing since we can, for example, choose a legendary barrel and bond it to another “prism” containing that UE? Also, if so, will there be any aetherheart refunds in the case of these changes? Thanks!
We have a blog post coming in early next week detailing everything in details about the repeaters refresh, but short answer: yes, everything will be fully refunded!
Annoying UI bug that doesn't like when you get 4 or more items at once. Fixed in Thursday's patch!
Right! They are very sharp after all
