Hello Galactic Survivalists!

We are excited to release our first true expansion for Empyrion Galactic Survival today.
However, one can never be completely shielded from difficulties with such a complex game and a mountain of profound new features.

To get straight to the point: The COOP mode is not yet playable in the current version.

We are working under high pressure to solve this problem, and it will be delivered in an update for all DLC purchasers shortly!

Until then, the Singleplayer mode is fully playable - including all DLC content and features!

We apologize for the inconvenience and the absence of ... Read more

The exception for Omicon is because it is the actual Story-Starter and because that is ruined easily by accident and the story start needs a particular "direction", there are special rules ;)

I will look into this. Promised ;)

About 99.99% of the rest of the galaxy has destructable terrain - for Omicron (as it is a specific story planet) - it is an intended exception from that. ;)

Hi Galactic Survivalists!

We made some changes regarding EAC. This will mean the following for you:

- If you play Alpha 10, Alpha 11, Alpha 12 or the latest V1.4.x and you use EAC then you have to update your game.
If you dont do this you will get EAC errors

- All previous versions Alpha 9 and below can no longer make use of EAC.
If you play SP or CooP this doesnt matters much as you dont need EAC and for CooP you cant use EAC.
If you use this on a Server we highly recommend that you use a password and only let in trusted people as you cant use EAC anymore on those versions.

Thank you for the understanding.

Hello everyone!

As you might know, we have an incredibly dedicated group of people that currently take care of translating each and every tidbit of the huge pile of texts, dialogues and PDA stuff throughout the game. The result of their constant efforts will be added in one of the next patches, although we are far from being complete.

That being said, and because the pile of game text has grown in the past months a lot (and will further grow with more missions and such), I would like to renew the announcement and ask again for help and assistance in that context.

Dear Galactic Survivalists.

We would like to address some of the concerns we have seen in the comments on our initial ‘leaving Early Access/Alpha’ announcement.

The reasons?

Plain and simply: We want to leave Early Access on our 5th anniversary release, because we are confident that the game is now in a shape, where it no longer needs that supporting wheels tag. We are not running out of money (most read concern) and there are no dark entities that are forcing us to do that (lots of funny theories :D) .

On the contrary, we are sure the game is playable in quality, although not free of issues, that is simply not reflected anymore by how the meaning of an Early Access tag is understood or talked about even nowadays.

As a consequence, leaving Early Access also means to remove the “Alpha” tags, as they are somehow tied to this stage. But there needs to be some sort of new versioning. While we did not want to proceed with simply counting furt... Read more

First of all, please bear with me in case I will be closing other threads on that topic, but it is easier to have everything in one thread. Any concern, question etc can be picked up more easily then.

Second: The official announcement text:

====

Dear Galactic Survivalists!

This is not the usual announcement of a main version update. The upcoming release will be something special.

Not only because we are looking forward to an anniversary release on 5th of August, but also because we will move forward and leave the ‘Alpha’ and 'Early Access' tags behind at this point.

With a small, but dedicated team (currently 5 programmers and 2 modellers), we think we have created something fun to play in the past years. But without you, our community, we would never have come so far. This is something we absolutely value and acknowledge! :)

But now it is time to move forward and take on the next level.

What does this mean?

Game Survey 2020 thread [empyriononline.com]

Hi Galactic Survivalist!

We hope you all had a great start in 2020! We have been a bit silent on the current progress on Empyrion and you deserve to know what is going on behind the curtain.

While we still run smaller patches on the Alpha 11.5.x branch, the development on the Alpha 12 features (we are working on since early January), have already made some noticeable progress.

That being said, we want to share with you a brief summary of some of the features that will be in the next major update. These blog posts are currently in preparation and will be released in the next few days. Please excuse the delay.

In the meantime, we would like to announce our GAME SURVEY 2020

Hey everyone!
As promised we will release more info about what is waiting for you to TEST in the upcoming EXPERIMENTAL version.

Today I would like to share a big rebalancing project: Thrusters

The goal for this first version was simple: bring ALL thrusters into a consistent progression. A larger thruster should not only put out more thrust, but also be more effiecient than a summary of its smaller pendants in the same block-amount.

Example: If you stack two S Thrusters you should not get more Thrust than using a single M Thruster.

Of course this has a few other tradeoffs, but in general, with the current updated balancing, any larger thruster or one of a higher tie... Read more

UPDATE:

EXP: In the EXP Version it will be ON for the simple fact we want feedback and this way we get more feedback. Numbers will be more adjusted then what they are currently since we see aswell the current numbers dont work.

PUBLIC: You will have a global ON/OFF Switch ON ALL GAME MODES. With Default OFF till A11 ATLEAST

TIER SYSTEM: We will build during the EXP Phases a Tier System for the CPU. Cores that can be upgraded to a higer system. You start with a low CPU (you dont need a large ship when your lvl 5 afterall) work your way up to a higher system. Our example showed a max of Tier 3 core with 1600K max CPU for a CV. We also will provide Server Owners (prob on a per playfield level) what kind of Tiers you will allow on that Playfield

The EXP Phase will contain info how we will proceed since not all changes we talked about will make it in the first EXP Version. Tuesday Evening we will decide if we... Read more

I saw in the video elementary and simple logical errors in the game mechanics, no fault company tester revealed these errors. Mistakes that strike your eyes.

That is why I will use strong words this time:
They have no idea what they are doing.
I'm afraid the game is a scam, with amateurs who don't know what they're doing.
And there you wrong. Otherwise we wouldnt have postponed the EXP at all and just release it.
Were actually talking to change the system
