How do you get the initial silicon ore?

Screenshot of a surface rock containing silicon ore. you need to find at least one of this stones to be able to craft your own mobile constructor.

but if you start a new game and skip the robinson protocol you will get some more equipment. like the mobile constructor a drill and a pistol

Also a good pc need maintenance, so may check drivers, maintain windows, remove unnecessary autostart application. may post your specs including detailed description on what exactly happens, maybe just wait any longer on the initial loading screen also and don't click anything while the loading screen appear in some cases this help.

Solar bugged ?

Ok, well, I simply can't get solar power to work. I have 3 solar panels and a capacitator. Nothing, of course, is deco. I get plenty of sun on all three (3 -4 green bars) and the capacitor occasionally lights up blue. But battery charge remains 0% all the time. I've tried deconstructing and reconstructing several times with no luck. Anyone else experiencing this ?

lot of people claim features and start to love and get used to it, when there is a change they start to moan, Also FPS ♥♥♥♥♥s wich sometime downvote cause of in their eyes bad opimization. Some dumbs downvote because they don't know how to play, others downvote even cause of the now much bigger worlds. There are many reason people find to downvote cause of silly pitty single issues. There are alot of honest reviews bad and good ones if you read through them you will see most of the negative ones are because A8 just changed the game completly and players dont get used to it or just don't have enough knowledge to see that there is way much more possible than they think

i personally don't give much to the calculated reviews on steam sometimes i read a bit but take care to read only the ones wich describe alot and give opinions - and not just the ones like : Game is bad - FPS is crap ect.

there are two different devices, one is the detector, this will help to find direction to deposits not revealed on the map yet (you will see red lines in the radar when near uncovered deposit 1000m max). then there is the ore scanner wich will paint blue outline to the hud when your over a deposit while wearing a drill. bot devices only need to be in the inventory not in the quickbar.
For the ore scanner this will only work with higher tier ore but not with iron copper silicium
since those need no detection once found stay on top of the deposit and just dig down until you reach the voxel dep... Read more

Missing promethium deposits

I've started 4 new games over the past couple of months, the latest was today (version 8.01 I think). In each of the games, I find my first promethium deposit and try to mine it, and all I find is crushed stone. I end up with a huge empty cavern with the text saying there's still 100% promethium left in the vein. I tried other deposits (they are difficult to find, so only a couple per game world) but they all result in 0 ore.

The other minerals (iron, copper, silicon) seem to work fine.

I deleted the cache directory in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games

I searched the forums and don't see any mention of this.

Whazzup?
