Hey!

We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, May 19th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

New Travel System
This was already tested once several months ago and has now been polished.

The Travel System update is a graphical update with gameplay implications. The test participants should pay attention to how the jump effects look and feel, and how readable the game information is (sec, empire) for the tunnels. The team is on the look out for any exceptions or tech issues that haven’t evidenced themselves in house (bug reports from in-client most appreciated). We are also interested in gathering feedback in many areas, a short list is below and may get updated before the test:

  • Smoothness and timing of jump sequences

  • Awareness of difference of tunnel types (e.g. Location, Security Level, Travel Method)

  • Tunnel lighting ...

The last mirror was on the 27th of March, but Singularity was in VIP at this time, so it was only accessible a few days later.

I want to continue to urge customers of WOW! that you send in a support request to WOW! (and ask them in turn to contact Cloudflare support).

Comment

We now have an open support ticket with WOW! Internet on these issues.

Comment

This is absolutely and categorically incorrect. As I have stated multiple times in this forum thread then CCP did not block WOW! Internet and as I have also stated multiple times in this thread then our network partner, Cloudflare, is actively looking into the matter.

Findings last night indicate that the problem is on WOW! Internet’s end, we have a detailed report from Cloudflare on how neither CCP nor Cloudflare can fix this but a recommendation to WOW! Internet on who they can fix this and we are bringing those findings to WOW! Internet for their examination.

This is a known issue, a fix is pending deployment. The ads will flow again soon.

Comment

That is correct and that change exposed a bad interaction between WOW!'s network and Cloudflare’s network. Cloudflare, as our network partner, is following up on the issue.

Can we please not do this again you guys.

Lucas, you’ve made your point that you believe this tool to be against EULA. In the end that is CCP’s call to make.

Please let this argument drop. Everyone.

Update: EULA argument posts removed. If you believe you have found an exploit please feel free to notify us through the proper channels with a ticket via https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us under the EULA and TOS category. Also please note that discussion of exploits is against forum rules.

Thread is now closed.

This will be dealt with in a ticket.

I’m quite confident that one the network admins of WOW! and Cloudflare get together then they will resolve this.

Comment

We, as in CCP Games, are not blocking the connection. There is some interaction between WOW! and Cloudflare that is causing this. Cloudflare has seen this other customers of theirs in this area and are investigating but the resolution hinges on the network admins of WOW! and Cloudflare to get together to fix this.

If you VPN to France then you surface towards Cloudflare on a different network.
