Clicking the left analog stick will cycle the sort options for the vendor, and will also cycle to the buyback options as well.

It's a 26 GB update. This was no small fck up. And why in the sweet Mary hell wasn't it tested also on a commercial Xbox as well as Dev kits. That's as basic as testing gets for Christ sake and you're here slobbering over their junk.

Guys like you are why the industry is in the state it is.

Hey there, we can understand your frustration with various game industry issues. However, this was a rather small issue that is surprisingly complicated to explain. I'll keep it short, though.

There are a lot of flags in the build pipeline for how the engine packages the game, and a lot can go wrong here. The good news is that because all our internal testing indicated sound results, as the user results started rolling in we were able to ascertain what flag needed to be adjusted. It ended up being a very small "fck up." Because this changed how the engine packaged the game, the patch itself ended up being quite large.

We also have to give praise to Microsoft, as they were quick to support, certify, and appr...

Alright, I'll let the team know and see if we can reproduce. Thanks for the report.

Also: When skipping the tutorial, any equipment you had during the tutorial will vanish, and you get new gear. It's a stretch but, could you have looked at the item, skipped tutorial, and then looked for the item (that was intentionally removed)?

Umm...what? Haven't heard this one before!

Can you be a bit more specific with what happened? This is rather concerning, and we certainly don't want loot in a game with looter shooter mechanics to mysteriously vanish! :O

There aren't any plans for mouse and keyboard support on consoles.

In case anyone missed it: We've got good news to share! Our team has fixed the issue, and our friends at Microsoft helped coordinate the patch to get pushed through through the night! EVERSPACE 2 has a patch to download that will fix the stuttering issues (version 1.0.35353), it should start automatically.

Please note that the patch is quite large due to a new data structure we had to deploy, but the stuttering should be gone.

Thanks for everyone's reports, your patience, and your support.

We have the hunch that switching back to an older packing format in the day one patch might cause loading issues, which would fit the stuttering issues we're seeing.

The new packing format (IoStore) ran just fine with the initial Xbox version that was certified for the retail version gold disk but led to crashes on another platform that the team is currently working on. We went back to using .pak files for the Xbox day one patch to avoid branching, never anticipating that an older asset format could cause such issues on the Xbox Series. Plus, that latest code base runs just fine on PS5.

Unfortunately, you cannot test a new Xbox version before releasing it to the public when the same product is already live on the Windows Store. Meaning, nothing wrong with the Xbox dev kits! We would have had to set up an entirely new console project—you can't just duplicate the entire code—to do a private audience test; YIKES! Now we know, but this is AAA territory that we simply c...

Could this regular communication and updating be taking priority and causing it to freeze up?

I'm really sad that the version on Xbox is borked. I waited months to play after the 1.0 PC release because my PC is a potato.

Nope, nothing to do with Game Pass! Our team found a potential cause of the issue, and we hope to have a new build for Certification tomorrow; fingers crossed! Our friends at Microsoft are standing by to give this one top priority, so your flawless weekend in space might be happening after all. /Michael

Hi, game installs fine and is great, but can we get a patch asap to fix the constant stutter/freezing periodically on Xbox. The game freezes up on and off while scrolling in menus like inventory, in space combat and pretty much everywhere in between.

This is our current priority right now.

We understand that some pilots would like to freely rebind buttons, but this can be a really deep rabbit hole on consoles due to super strict certification on console platforms—like checking for deadlocks when unplugging your controller during rebinding or double-assigning. This is especially the case when every single controller button is used, some even in conjunction; this is why there are currently no plans to support fully customizable controls on console as users couldn't delete their input.ini to start all over if locked out. /Michael

Also, I find it very strange that a product isn't even tested on the platform before it's released.

Either you should do this better in the future or MS needs better dev kits.

You did such a great job on PC (Steam) - but this...

And by the way: What about the missing key assignment, as we could do on PC?

The only way to test games on consoles BEFORE release is to run dev kits in consumer mode, which we did, and the game ran fine. We're now trying to identify if we did something wrong with the dev kits during testing—nobody is perfect—or if this really is an issue with the dev kits.

Hey Xbox pilots, we're deeply sorry about the stuttering happening on consumer hardware while the game was running flawlessly on Series X and S dev kits during thorough testing. The team is investigating as we speak, and we'll keep you updated through our social channels. /Michael

We've been getting reports across the board with stuttering issues, ouch. Not sure how this happened, but we have prioritized this issue and will be working towards a solution as soon as possible.

isn't today supposed to be launch day? i won't click on a pre-order button ever again out of principle since ever No Man's Sky happened, i don't care about test versions or renting limited time access to games without DLC (Gamepass) - and no, as a console player i don't care about community fixes either. sell me something or don't, i certainly won't have trust in a product that is such a complicated bunch of code like a modern video game if the parties involved can't even get the comparatively trivial part of selling it correctly done right.

I can understand the hesitance; one issue we're addressing is that our game is still listed as a pre-order, as well as having a release date in the year 2799. I can confirm neither of these things are accurate, and will have this addressed on the XBox store page as soon as we can.
