Hi there I recently came back to play For honor after 2 years and have been having a blast with it, after a week or so of playing today suddenly the menus have started running terribly and FPS drops are becoming very frequent in them.

I honestly have no clue as to why it suddenly just started playing awful, in game it runs fine it seems but the menus or someone leaving the game seem to make my FPS drop suddenly and get stuttering.

I will say I did seem to notice that after buying the warden hero skin its started running worse, I have no clue if that has any relevance but it does seem strange. Anyone able to give me some pointers

Hi @Vexanon thanks for bringing this to our attention! I'd like to look into this further and see what can be done to help. To clarify, I have a few follow-up questions:

  • Is this FPS issue only occurring in-game?
  • What is your V-Sync set to?
  • Do you have the Ubisoft Connect overlay enabled? If so, does this FPS issue also happen if you open the overlay?
  • Are you seeing this in all game modes?

For good measure, let's go ahead and make sure all of these troubleshooting steps are completed. After those are done successfully, please check to see if this still happens and let me know either way. 🐙

@Vexanon Okay thanks. Do you happen to have any RGB lighting software (Synapse3, iCUE, etc) for any special effects lighting elements on your computer? If so, please consider disabling this software as a test to see if there's any improvement in the game. While normally fine to run alongside our games, such RGB software can occasionally cause conflicts.

Additionally, please try a clean boot (if you haven't yet done so) to ensure there is no other conflicting software. Should the issue continue after these steps, please update us here and we can take a further look at this. Thanks!

@Vexanon Can you check to see if both For Honor and Ubisoft Connect are installed on the same drive? It doesn't usually cause issues if they're not, but sometimes this will cause a myriad of issues to occur. It would be best if both of them are installed on your C drive, but just having everything on the same drive in general is the more important part!

Thanks for getting back to us @FH-Y6S3-FU2-001.

Did you give our connectivity steps a try too? Just to ensure that while your connection is generally alright, it's as a strong as it can be to the game's servers.

If you have and there's no change, to allow us to be able to take a closer look into this, could you please open a case on our Support Site and attach your DxDiag and MSinfo system files?

With those we'll be able to take a closer look into any other possible causes.

Thank you!

Hello @FH-Y6S3-FU2-001,

Thank you for the update.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are encountering this issue. However, we won't be able to pass it along to the development team for further investigation without previously mentioned diagnostic files, I'm afraid.

If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
