Evidence: just play a game in late Twine Peaks.

Plataform: PC (i5 3330 + Rx470 4gb).

Edit: Formating.

Thanks for the report. I have the team diving into the performance issues now.

Unfortunately we missed pulling that from the notes before they went out. She's not in this build but will be a very soon future build.

The big red numbers telling me I'm suddenly over when I wasn't last night seem to indicate such.

PC.

Because of the front end and collection book rework, we backfilled things we added for people beyond those points. You should be over because we gave you a bunch of stuff.

(That's at least how I'd organise the data, load in player stats, make them anonymous and link them to a unique url, then send out the url for the survey). The mail however is standardised so they have to include that part for those play once and quit people. Until you get feedback you don't really know why they quit and if there is anything within reason that can be improved there.

You are 100% right.

The sample is sent to a range of people of all experience levels in order to get a good representative sample. We then break the data out by experience levels when looking into the results.

People who are more experienced tend to fill in surveys more often, so we include that little bit of text about "only played once" to try to encourage the less experienced folks to also open up the survey.

I dont mind going down a few level to get blue and green perk ups. I feel there is sufficient legendary perk up opportunities at the moment. What we are lacking is epic perk ups. They are so very rare to get.

This change should make Epic Perk-UP show up more often as a reward in Twine Peaks, particularly at the top end of the theater.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to have a quick chat today about some improvements to the distribution of RE-Perk and Perk-UP that are coming in update 6.21.

The first change we’re making is to extend which difficulty levels can grant Uncommon, Rare, and Epic Perk-UP, all the way to the end of Twine Peaks. This change applies to both mission rewards, and Miniboss Mission Alert rewards. We saw feedback from high-level players around the lack of Uncommon and Rare Perk-UP at the top levels of the game, and agree that players shouldn’t have to play downlevel and do trivial content just to upgrade a brand new weapon that they’ve acquired. These materials will still be most common at the difficulties where they’re found today, but on average there should be enough on the map to prevent you from having to go back to previous locations.

While looking at the Perk material economy, we also decided the income rates could be increased a bit, so we...

For the next survey, tie it together with the Epic Games account, this way you have player metrics data along with your survey data.

Our surveys are tied to Epic Games accounts :)

Will you also be taking note of feedback given in this thread?

Yes. The surveys are in addition to the feedback the community team gathers from Reddit and other social channels.

Good question. The goal of the survey research is to get a representative sample of our player base for whatever question we are asking. So we don't just send it randomly. Unfortunately, if we just put a link online then that could skew the responses to one group or we may end up with people replying who are trolling and don't play the game.

As mentioned, the survey research and user experience testing are just two of our research methods. We and the community team are also paying attention to posts on social for feedback.

Hey folks!

I’m Ben, the User Experience Lead at Epic Games. My team helps to research the experience y’all are having when playing all of our games and we have been working with devs on Fortnite Save the World since it was early in development. The research takes many forms, but there are two methods I would like to talk about today specifically:

Surveys

We regularly send out surveys and we know that folks here are getting them because we see the posts here saying that they are fake and ways for people to steal your data! It is great that you are being cautious, keep that up. But, also keep an eye out for official communications from Epic, that is us and we want to hear from you. In fact, if you are an alpha player you have probably seen many of our surveys over the years! The feedback we have collected over that time been really valuable and we always want more.

Now, we know that our surveys are sometimes very long. That is becau...

Hey everyone, wanted to clear up a slight typo we had in the blog. We mention that there will be a sale next week but the game will actually be going on sale this week. Sorry about that!

We've just released an update for PC and Mac that contains performance improvements including a fix for long load times. There's no downtime but you may need to restart your game to catch the update.

UPDATE: Looks like people are still experiencing the long load issues. We're looking into this.

It's coming this week, though it's not tracking toward the beginning of the week. Thanks for hanging in there while this is being sorted. I know it's a pain to wait.

Does Teddy count as an ability or bullets?

It's buffed by SMS on cast, so using it's an ability... but is him shooting counted as an ability?

All abilities (including TEDDY, Goin' Commando, and Lefty + Righty) are not considered ranged weapons, and should do normal damage to the husks during this challenge.

Hey everyone,

We want to give a sneak peek into what’s coming up for Challenge the Horde. From now until the end of Season 5 a series of Weekly Horde Challenges will run, providing a different gameplay experience each time. One of these Weekly Challenge missions will appear in the Horde area, set at a difficulty appropriate to your Storm Shield progression.

The challenges will have specific modifiers encouraging the use a variety of different play styles. Each challenge will reward you with something awesome - such as Heroes, Weapons or Seasonal Gold - the first time it’s completed, followed by a repeatable quest that grants event tickets.

The first Weekly Challenge will appear in update v5.2, and will put you up against increasing numbers of Minibosses in each wave. With the release of the v5.2 Content Update the following week, the first challenge will go away and a new one will appear. This second challenge features bulletpro...
