Would a human noble PC have known Kasmeer as a child?

The human noble story makes no assumptions as to your potential awareness or prior potential friendship with Kasmeer. (She didn't exist physically in the game until S1.) Theoretically, as a human noble it would make sense if you were aware of her or had friends in common, but the Personal Story makes no overt connection to that effect. So, if you want to RP that you were acquaintances or hung out when you were younger, I think there's flexibility to support that. But introductions to her character don't take place until S1 so the game just treats it as two people (PC and Kasmeer) not knowing each other personally.

There are a bunch of characters scattered throughout the game that have little micro-stories like this. Sometimes if you follow them around you'll see how their ambient scenes connect to provide a glimpse at who they are, what they're doing here, and how they feel about certain events, other characters in the game, etc. The Tour Guide was a fun one. Byron had a fun core of an idea and we workshopped her scenes together.

Bug Fix: Fixed an issue that prevented completion of the WvW World Restructuring Beta Veteran achievement for players who made progress on it before the October 19 update. Players who have already completed the achievement requirements will automatically receive the reward when they next log in and change maps.

Bug Fixes: Fixed an issue that caused a server crash when using the Mystic Forge. Fixed a server crash. Fixed an issue that prevented the legendary enemies in the Mad King's Labyrinth from contributing to the Trick-or-Treat across Tyria achievement when defeated. Fixed an issue that prevented players from completing the WvW World Restructuring Beta Veteran achievement. The period during which this achievement and the associated reward can be earned has been extended by 7 days, to October 28 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7).

The bonuses are being extended through Oct 28, but the world restructuring beta itself will wind down this upcoming Friday (Oct 21) as planned.
