In Hearts of Iron IV in 1936 Lexington, along with her sister ship Saratoga, are based in California ready for your command!
Avoiding the attack on Pearl Harbour by being out of port at the time, Lexington was involved in the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 1942.
Having helped to sink the carrier Shōhō, Lexington was then herself hit and sunk by Japanese carrier aircraft from the Shōkaku and Zuikaku.
Ship Profile: Lexington was a deck-conversion American aircraft carrier, commissioned in her new form in 1927.
Known often as ‘Lady Lex’, she served in the pacific theatre during the opening year of World War 2.

One of the paths in the new Mexico focus tree is the ‘Catholic Mexico’ path.
This involves empowering the church, and transforming Mexico into a somewhat theocratic nation.
What’s the coolest game you’ve had with this path?
Orzel went on to serve with Allied submarines during the Norway campaign, sinking the German troop transport Rio de Janeiro and thus disrupting the attack on Bergen.
She was mysteriously lost at the start of June 1940, after probably hitting a mine in the Danish belts.
Overpowering Estonian guards the sub left Tallinn on the night of September 18th, as gunfire ricocheted of her hull.
Under the leadership of Lt Jan Grudziński, Orzel cruised the Baltic for three weeks before deciding to try and reach Britain, which she reached in October.
Her crew headed north east, to the Estonian port of Tallinn, where the submarine was interned by the neutral Baltic state, who confiscated her navigation charts.
Unwilling to sit the war out in Estonia, Orzel’s crew decided to mount an escape.
Ship Profile: Orzel was a submarine built for the Polish navy in the Netherlands, commissioned on in February 1939.
When World War Two broke out, Orzel began a very eventful few weeks, being initially forced away from Poland by the German advance.
In Man the Guns, how you design your submarines can be crucial to whether they will succeed in sinking enemy convoys.
Do you go for more striking-power and a higher production cost, or a larger number of cheaper boats? Snorkels or Radar?
What do you prefer?
