PSA: Patch 1.6.2 is now live! It should begin downloading next time you open up steam 🙂

In this afternoon’s stream @ceeebie and @PDX_Da9L will be going through the 1.6.2 update’s patch notes, which you’ll be able to get your own hands on very soon!

Light cruisers are probably the most versatile ship class in Man the Guns, being able to be used well as Minelayers, Spotting ships, or as screens for your capital ships.

What designs do you most like to use?

Needless to say, this was an April Fools 😄

And to increase the challenge we are taking a leaf out of our friends at @E_Universalis's book and introducing Shattered Retreat to Hearts of Iron 4.

Now when your divisions are forced to retreat, they will proceed directly to your capital to await new orders!

In addition to the new extreme weather effects that will be present on the battlefield, we are also introducing the ability to Man the Guns on your ships even more directly, for full immersion.

After some thought, we decided that there were still some things we needed to add to make Man the Guns the fully immersive historical experience that we all need.

That’s why today we are proud to announce...

Hearts of Iron 4: Man the Guns 2: Sharkstorm.

We figured you shouldnt have to wait so long for the next expansion this time! Semper paratus!

Have you put the Raid on the Medway to shame yet?

To get this achievement, you need to play as the Netherlands, and ensure the United Kingdom has no capital ships still afloat.

Would you build a might battlefleet, or go for naval bombers and subs in a war of attrition?

What's the weirdest place you've seen a nation holding land?
