Sorry the alert can be somewhat annoying, but it should be safe for you to ignore for now.

I would expect the stalls to return for a time after changing graphics quality settings, with the same effect of it getting better over time. Depending on how macOS is managing its Metal cache, the stalls may or may not return after switching back to previous settings.

You can find this file in your Library/Application Support/Blizzard/Heroes of the Storm folder.

Hey IvanYu!

I just popped in client to check this out and everything appears to work just fine for me. Are you sure you were using the Repeater Cannon weapon and not Phase Bomb and you were attacking Heroes?

If so, could you send me a video of this or pass a replay along to the email address listed in this forum post

Hey Bubunya,

We’d need some more information to try and figure out what is happening here.

  1. What is the daily quest not progressing?
  2. What Hero are they playing?
  3. What is the game mode? If Versus AI, is it AI Teammates, Coop, or Training?
  4. Have you tried relogging to see if maybe it updates upon relog?

Hey there Zap!

Quick question. You said you didn’t have a non-valid Hero selected at the end. Did you have any Hero hovered?

Essentially, Storm League will no longer assign random Heroes. If the time ends and no one is hovering a Hero (and that Hero can be locked in) the Draft will be abandoned and those people will receive leaver penalties.

My experience of the stuttering improvement over time was that it was permanent, so please let us know your experience as you play games during the course of PTR and especially if it gets better or worse with the official 48 patch when compared to PTR. I’m keeping a close eye on it and what we really need right now is data.

That the performance got better over time, even after restarting the client, actually made finding the core issue much more difficult as it would seem to go away after a few debugging sessions. I was ultimately able to find the root cause by performing clean installs of macOS every couple days to allow me to capture the worst stalls again.

Hey TheDarkArmy,

The situation you described is different from the one Bull posted. In their situation the only two picks their team had left were Heroes that couldn’t be picked, which led to the disconnect and leaver penalty.

Regarding the situation you outlined, I’ve been unable to reproduce that specific issue internally. In the event I’m hovering a banned or picked Hero and my ally is hovering an eligible Hero when time runs out, the eligible Hero is locked in and I don’t get kicked or get any penalty.

I will continue to try different scenarios, but if this happens to you again, please create a new post with detailed information about banned heroes, the Heroes hovered, and how many picks your team had left. This can help me figure out what situation might cause this!
