It should be in Player Support.

Could we have the most recent .msi always put up on the forums without us needing to ask for it?

Each patch I need to get hold of the .msi file to update (not Windows), so having a place I can go each patch to get it would be nice without having to try and reverse engineer the version number in the hope I can figure out the url.

It was updated after the update, today.

Standard 2020 Events (Play, Ranked Play)

7370fe898f8349935dbba144dc60ec145755b13f

Updated Event Structure: 3 Wins or 2 Losses

Updated Rewards:

  • 1 Win: 50 XP
  • 2 Wins: 150 XP
  • 3 Wins: 250 XP

Developer Notes: We hope these changes make the event feel a little less "grindy". Now, you can lose a game or two and still earn Mastery XP, and the event runs a little bit longer so you don't have to rejoin it as often. As before, both the Standard 2020 and Standard 2020 Ranked events have no entry fee and you can play them as often as you like until September 26 (at 4 a.m. PT to be precise).

Core Set 2020 Set Mastery

The Core Set 2020 set mastery will end on September 26th, 2019...

This forum is strange, I've written 3 messages and this one is the only one which I can see, anyway, I had to add a comment because it was flagged as solved as soon as I submitted it.

I think you're submitting it as a bug, instead of General. Please subm...

@Temudjin:

Probably another post somewhere about this (I hope) but how about just putting Amonkhet into the mix? Dev is done already. I understand (or not) Kaladesh has a lot of broken cards and a very unique mechanic so they don't want to risk it... "Best" case scenario; Just ban some cards like they always do..
But Amonkhet was very fun and now we have even more answers for the stronger cards. More cards to get, more opportunities etc... I don't get it...

Unfortunately dev work isn't done for those sets anymore. They were in the game at one point, but due to so many things changing in game, the team would have to completely redo them. Then they'd have to go through testing (with additional testing this time because more cards).

I miss Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation as much as everyone else but that won't be happening any time soon. I would absolutely LOVE to get Anointed Procession and Panharmonicon back. :disappoin...

You can report a person for doing this, and we can take action on them if they are regularly doing this to troll people.

Is there any possibility of making it easier to report players for this? I've had to report players in the past, and the amount of effort needed to do it makes it just so unappealing....

That is something we'd love to implement in the future, but for right now, this is the system we are using. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hey Lexie, this above is a little more to the story about why a number of people don't bother to report bugs.

It is also a bit head-scratchy that even if it's multiple people with potato computers complaining (small portion of a large player base), then why were there no issues 6 months ago playing the same game on the same potatoes. The potatoes are the same, but the game isn't. So maybe the cause of the performance issues is on the MTG:A end...

Seems reasonable too, in light of the fact the game seems to take up more space in RAM as the months go by.

Reporting a bug doesn't mean that we can immediately solve it, unfortunately. I wish that were possible! What it DOES do is help us collect data, look at possible patterns or trends, and implement a solution where we're able.

I don't know why they weren't experiencing issues before, but are now. That is for the devs to look into wit...

Hi Dan! Sorry about your mean parrot roommate. I suggest offering said parrot snacks, that usually appeases them.

yeah I wish, there are some decks that smash me so quick I just want to rematch to see if the shuffler was just on their side or what. At the very least discuss decks to find out what else they had in that puppy. Random is fun but sometimes I want to rematch to see what my deck needs to be altered. And as for the random one game one person thing with not chatting at all, you get a lot of Hey his deck was specifically made to go against a concept i just built, and we could chat on how ironic that the random opponent finder would fit certain decks against each other.
I just had the most fun in a game I think I've ever had. Just wanted to message him to say I had a lot of fun that game. Our decks were very similar (not a pre made deck) and it was very evenly matched. A lot of back and forth, really good turns for both of us.

Known Issue - Quest/Daily Wins Mouseover

Players cannot interact with quests objectives, daily wins, and/or Mastery progression while on the Home page. This includes hovering the objective to see the rewards, clicking to re-roll quests, and/or seeing the amount of XP needed to reach the next Mastery Level.

Workaround

Restarting the client should fix this issue.

Post

Bug Fixes

  • Gameplay buttons should no longer display incorrect text.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented sideboarding during best-of-three Direct Challenge matches.

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on September 9th, 2019 at 8 a.m. PT (15:00 UTC) to deploy the 0.18.01.00 game update. Maintenance is expected to last approximately one hour.

No downtime is expected. Players who are logged in prior to the start of maintenance are encouraged to restart their client once the game update is available. For all other players, the game will automatically update the next time Magic: The Gathering Arena is launched.

Patch notes will be available once maintenance is complete.

We are currently investigating and working on the performance issues. To help us figure out what is exactly happening we need players to submit the type of performance issue they're experiencing (generally low FPS, unexplained dips, etc) and their system specs and driver versions. The best place to send us that information is here, https://...

@Holgman:

These problems can be seen every day at any MTG-Youtuber: jerking, hanging when laying cards, various disconnections, problems to select the blocker, etc., etc., etc. Many of these youtubers also complain openly in their videos about these bugs and the generally bad performance of the game.

These people earn some of their livelihood with these videos. They will all have bad hardware and a bad Internet connection?

I don`t think so.

But it is, as it always is, the customer / player is to blame.

In no way did I blame the player. I am saying that said player needs to submit a detailed bug report so we can try to see what is happening. Unfortunately just stating “your game is lagging you need to fix it” doesn’t help us actually diagnose the problem/possibly fix it.

I would have the devs check the 900 series GeForce cards, i.e. 980Ti. There's a leak of some sort, in that the player avatars (as you're matched) start to stutter. You can also see this in the transitions for deck building.
This is remedied by a restart of the client.
There was a late-August driver update from nVidia which I applied, but no change.
I'm specific about the GPU reference because some folks don't have the issue, even with lower end rigs. They may have a 20x series card.

Very interesting! I was running a 970 with no performance issues, but I may be an outlier. I'll bring it up to the devs. Thanks for the suggestion!

Right now I just attacked with lethal on my final win for the Brawl event and the game ran MY rope down and is just sitting there with an orange haze.
I don't know if the game is lagging, my opponent went AFK or I disconnected. Thanks a lot.

It's just sitting at the end of the first rope and no doing anything else. I wish this game would have a way to tell if I am the one that disconnected or what just happened.
I can interact on my side fine, but my guys refuse to finish the attack.

I just tried to send a report and after typing everything and adding the log and a screenshot, the site won't let me log in. I click the link and it gives me a pop u...

I too have experienced nothing but increased lag with each new set.
When I first started playing MTGA it was pretty smooth but now it is extreme lag all of the time. This is not my PC or internet connection, it is your game. Stop being so cheap and fix the issues WoTC.
Again, performance issues are VERY hard to pinpoint/reproduce. Please report them so we can look into it and be as specific as you can. Saying "my performance is worse, fix the issues" doesn't tell us anything.
Yes, but the fact that the lag seems to increase with each new addition should give you all a heads up that your server is too bogged down with crap and should give you an idea of what to look for.
Listen to the players, read between the lines and the answer will come.
Ignore the obvious and the issues will increase.
