I for one am very confused about why an embalmed Anointer Priest is used in this meme. Lithoform Engine's last ability doesn't interact with that! In fact, you can use the Engine's first ability targeting the Embalm ability, and then having Anointed Procession will result in you getting 4 total Anointer Priest tokens (2x embalm abilities, each of which creates 2 tokens). #wotc_staff

Bug Fixes

  • Players can no longer add modal double-faced cards (MDFCs) to Brawl decks if the color identity of the back face does not match their Commander.

This is a visual only bug.

When you play a ranked game followed by an unranked game, it's repeating the rank animation from the end of the previous ranked game.

Your underlying rank is unaffected.

Please Note:

Players will need to restart their client to download this update (exit and relaunch MTG Arena).

Bug Fixes

  • Various fixes to improve loading times and reduce latency/network related issues (e.g. getting stuck on a black screen, persistent "waiting for the server" messaging, etc.)
  • Players should no longer inadvertently end up on the debug console.
  • Adjusted mouse detection/hitboxes on the Zendikar Rising battlefield to prevent situations where players could not target/mouse-over-zoom their opponent's lands and/or Planeswalkers.
  • The Nahiri's Stoneblades card sleeve now displays the correct artwork.
  • Corrected the artist credit for various Zendikar Rising showcase card styles.

Well, it's not machine learning, and Natural Language Processing-wise, we're not doing much interesting - it's a very stodgy "here is the dictionary, here are the syntactic productions" affair. The most interesting part, in my opinion, is the marriage between semantics and game rules. What information does the word "creature" impart? How do we go from a syntactic pattern that looks like an intervening-if trigger to the behavior that stewards those rules? And it evolves with every set. #wotc_staff

Latency/Networking Issues - Resolved

Update: We deployed a client update Friday, Sept 18 at Noon PT to further address some of these issues. Patch notes are available, here. We're continuing to monitor the situation.

We deployed several updates to alleviate some of the issues related to latency and/or network errors (blackscreens, stuck on "waiting for the server", disconnects, etc.). While this appears to have improved throughout the course of the day, we will continue to monitor the situation overnight and make additional changes if necessary.
