Nope, the only reason we did this is that making games is hard and sometimes you miss things. It’s a bug, we’re working to get it fixed.

For either constructed or limited. You'll get a card style only once if you would get it through both.

I hope if you are a rank higher you still get the lower tier foils.

You will get the Wizard's Lightning card style at Gold or better, and the Vraska's Contempt card style at Platinum or better. You don't lose rewards for ranking up. :)

There was a miscommunication - the correct code is "SuperScry" (no quotes). We'll be correcting on broadcast soon as well.

Couple of things to confirm:

  • Yes, these are the new rewards from the NPE. It was released via email today, subject line: "A Beautiful March Update" .
    • ... we ultimately went with a non-unique code, so if you didn't get the email it's okay.
  • This code covers both the new rewards from the Mastery Tree (Luminous Bonds, Divination, Doomed Dissenter, Viashino Pryomancer, Llanowar Elves) and player progression (Meteor Golem, Card Sleeve)
  • This is the only code you'll be getting for the NPE rewards.
    • ... but we're going to have other codes. :)

We appreciate this feedback and share your goal of making pack contents less predictable. This problem is not new to digital Magic, and in fact has already been solved by the Magic Online team. We’re working with that team and figuring out how to adapt their solutions to pack creation in MTG Arena. We don’t have a specific date on when an update will come, and we may not update every set at the same time, but it is very much on our radar to improve this experience.

Re: Sealed - It's a typo!

Internal patch note was 'rating', which my brain and/or my keyboard auto-corrected to 'ranking' at some point. It's been fixed, and the patch note now reads:

  • Updates to matchmaking in the Sealed queue so players with similar MMR are more likely to match against each other.

We've been using MMR as secondary check in our Sealed matchmaking since December, and this is update is one of those adjustments we predicted we would have to make. Your Win/Loss record is still the primary factor when determining your opponents.

Apologies for the confusion, and if you have any other feedback RE: the matchmaking adjustments with this update please continue to share them!

  1. It looks like the graphic settings are now defaulting to "Ultra" instead of "Low", which is not intended. We're looking into this.
  2. If you want to tweak specific things like Frame Limiter, you need to have your graphics set to Custom.

Thanks for the call out, going to go add this to the patch notes!

This is a bug, the old version of the flip side of his art wasn't properly deleted so it's pulling that instead of the new. We'll fix it.

Really hope it'll stop saving [[Unclaimed territory]] for last now.

EDIT : Just played against sparky, I had a spell breaker, a lava coil and 5 land in play and it didn't touch my unclaimed territory to cast the spell breaker.

Sadly, Unclaimed Territory did not get autotap love for this update, but it should be improved for the War of the Spark release. #wotc_staff

Right-Clicking on any card that you don't have 4x copies of will also open up the crafting menu. You can click on the 4th pip below the cards to craft them all in one go.

Definitely hear the feedback that two clicks to get to your uncollected cards is more annoying than one.

Hey everyone,

We realized belatedly that we had sent outdated decklists to the good folks at DailyMTG. We pulled the article for now until we can get it updated with the correct information. That's on us, and we apologize for any confusion:

  1. The checklands are still in the dual colored decks; there are no changes to the dual colored decklists with this update, just how you receive them (through the mastery tree and player progression).
  2. There are changes to the monocolored decks because you unlock upgrades with the new progression system, however once those ungrades are unlocked you'll end up with the same deck as would have previously received (pending you haven't made any other changes, of course).

The correct behavior is for [[Mirror Image]] to display the name of the copied creature, thus explaining its susceptibility to the legend rule. We will be fixing this in an upcoming update.

I happened to encounter this issue when trying to use Mirror Image to make copies of [[Helm of the Host]] (turned into a creature thanks to [[Tezzeret, Cruel Machinist]]) but was denied!

awesome to hear! I want to also mention, this happens with responding to cards targeting cards in the graveyard.

so for example, if there are two Kitesails in my graveyard, and my opponent goes to reanimate one of these Kitesails, it is impossible to tell which one he is targeting if I want to exile the card in response.

We do have an indicator for this now, but it's obviously not clear enough (since we keep getting this feedback). If you hover over the cards in your graveyard, one of them will have a hanger (the text boxes on the side of the card in mouse-over) that says "Targeted by Eldest Reborn" (or whatever), so you can tell which is which. It's on our list to make this louder/more clear, but at least it is there now.

There are similar issues with a number of other cards (which one has the enchantment? Which one has the equipment? Which one is protected by Dauntless Bodyguard? etc.) The added text solution only covers some of the cases, so that's why we went the way we did
