The moment the zombies almost got me. The creeper saved me :)

Found a shipwreck, led me to a buried treasure, found waterbreathing potion in there, used it to explore ocean caves, got reeeally deep under the ocean, and found an entrance to a lush cave system overlooking a massive cavern with waterfalls and lavafalls. Wow!

Almost looks like an amplified world right here, but it is just a normal world. Cool! Also glad we got around to fixing the rain thing. Before, the rain cycle would start over every time someone sleeps. So it would basically never rain on servers where people sleep every night.

Cave parity also seems good still. Unfortunately we only managed to get parity on noise caves, not carvers. But that's better than nothing, and overall the caves look pretty similar on both platforms now.

Parity testing. Latest Java vs latest bedrock vs Java 21w44a. Looking good so far. Hmmm…. but some time we should look inte forest density.

Playtesting and not actually finding any serious problems. Maybe today is a good day to release :)

I'm not really upset at people who think this btw, if you look at 1.18 as a separate update I can understand going "oh there's no new items, I'm sad". I think it's just more interesting as a developer to see how players view an update split into different parts.
