I'll share this from the recent interview with Owlcat:

"As for the studio itself Owlcat Games was originally established as an international company and we had employees all around the world. After the pandemic started and the team switched to remote work the process of relocation started almost on its own. Right now we are actively helping our employees to move to different places like Cyprus, where our HQ is located, a new office in Armenia and other European countries where they can focus on work and creativity. We already have successful experience of decentralized and remote work for the last two years and we believe that the team will continue to create great games further."

So the company is headquartered in Cyprus, but what is unsaid here is that a good ...

Our headquarters had always been in Cyprus, with developers working from multiple countries. A lot of developers were located in Moscow until recently, but now many of us are relocating to Cyprus, Armenia and other places. If there was anything good in the pandemic, it is that it gave us a plenty of experience in coordinating and working on our projects online from multiple locations, so we can continue to create games for you guys.

Seems not all cases where it occured, were covered :( It's being investigated further.

Also is a system where you get to chose spells you can never cast really a system you want to go with?

It was never intended to work how it worked prior to 1.2, but since it gave player power, it was never noticed and reported. One of unrelated 1.2 fixes repaired a global code error that affected it. That made it close to original design, but it still caused multiple cases of odd behaviour (such as character level at which you gained a mythic level, affecting the amount of spells you received) and tooltip inconsistencies, which were fixed in 1.3.

A bug. Same that causes the clothes to be gray. Working on it already.

When a bug lasts through the beta and six months post-release (long enough to be considered canon by a fair chunk of players), and all subsequent fixes result in a less logical, more confusing system with imbalance between prepared and spontaneous casters, the work to replicate that 'bug' in a functional manner is far from counterproductive.

I appreciate you're just the messenger here, but the new system is every bit as bad as the last rework. I know you feel like it's just the same few voices expressing discontent here, but I hope you pass our disappointement on (and the excellent breakdown thread posted here after 1.3 that outlines the new issues) nonethless.

I'm monitoring the reactions on the updated system, and while there's some negative feedback, it's not too hot and is to be expected, considering the sudden nature of the change and ruined builds. I see a decent amount of positive feedback as well, often pointing that the change actually improves the balance between two types of casters.

In either case, I understand your personal frustration with it, if you liked the previous system more, but I'm afraid it's unlikely that there will be any further change on this, unless something is found to be bugged.

Thanks for the reply! I've already updated all my mods and refreshed the cache like you said. When I load the save, get a white loading screen, and when the bar reaches around 10% it goes back to the main screen. No error messages.

I can begin a new game (regular story or any of the dlcs) load other characters (main story or Inevitable Excess) or load a earlier save just fine with the same mod setup

Will investigate as soon as possible. Please report it via ALT+B.

(Iomadae please just change it back)

It's working as intended according to the design now. It's understandable that people were used to the broken system before 1.2, but it was based off an error in the code that got globally fixed. And the way it is built, it is impossible to simply 'change it back'. We'd need to spend some serious amount of hours of writing new code simply to emulate the old bug. It was deemed counterproductive.

I'm hoping for new medieval fantasy adventures like kingmaker and wrath, with well written evil companions and storylines.

Please tell me you are working on more games for your loyal audience that keeps buying! I will not continue to support you if you do a 180 and make pirates and robots shooting lasers out of their butts!!

PS: can you load the portraits of the wrath companions into the new character creator so I can use them in the new DLC? thank you :)

We ARE working on more games :)

Terrible. For some reason it broke my latest saves (no it's not my mods), and last one I can load it's like 20 hours earlier

Patch definitely shouldn't break any saves. How exactly is it behaving? Which messages do you get? Also, are you sure you have updated all mods and did you try refreshing cache by deleting all files except saved games, portraits and screenshots from the following folder: C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous ?

So... we can unlock stuff for the main game by playing the first two DLCs, right? If I recall correctly, savegames for Kingmaker didn't work with its EE. How will this be handled with the bonuses from the DLCs? Will we have to replay the DLCs in the EE to get the bonuses there?

Hard to say at this point in development, but it's rather unlikely that you'd have to replay it.
