Encountered a strange bug with this patch in kingdom management.

Entering kingdom management mode tries to display a "null" event, which I cannot turn off by clicking the cross or by pressing any buttons. The only interaction I have left is accessing the main menu, which prevents me from progressing.

Made a small mod to simply disable the automatic displaying of completed events when entering kingdom mode, and this seemed to fix it for me... Hopefully this will get fixed before the actual release, or maybe it is a local problem on my end, but I can share the mod if anyone has a similar problem.

Yep, already aware of it, thank you. One of the first things to be fixed :)

My opinion as a player? It's alright. You can pick a class you are familiar with from Baldur's Gate (like I did when I just started playing), and start with normal or casual difficulty setting, level up your character yourself, but let the game auto-level your companion if learning about all of their classes is too much information at the moment. Difficulty settings are quite flexible, you can play with them to make it as comfortable for you as you want. Another thing that the previous game didn't have and this game does is a context tutorial, ... Read more

I would love it if you could look into savegames and loading screens in general getting longer and longer as you progress into the game. There is a noticable difference between act 1 and act4 where i am now, loading times dramatically increased.

While i have a really good pc the loading times are still ok for me personally, i dont think it is the case for the average player.

It's being looked at, although a significant part of it is engine limitations.

Won't break anything if you change to beta, backwards may give issues though, so better back it up.

swear this is in every patch notes

These kind of bugs usually have a whole array of reasons that cause them. They get fixed one by one, reducing the overall rate of appearance. Hopefully this time we nailed all or at least most of them.

Well, it’s good to know you guys are trying to fix it at least. Thanks for that.

Yup, it turned out to be a nightmare to deal with. Work's in progress and multiple times we thought we managed to nail it, but it still gets reproduced on some machines.

Crusaders!

We’ve prepared a huge update for you! But because it’s so huge, and because of various issues you may encounter with it, particularly with mods, we are releasing it in the beta branch first. Please switch to it in the properties of the game in Steam to download the update.

Because the list of changes is HUGE, we couldn't fit it here, so we put a link with the full patch notes[docs.google.com] instead.

Let us know what you think!
