Awesome. This is so great to see. I see a handful of bugs fixed in there that I've personally reported.
Keep it coming!
Thanks for a great reporting job to you and all others! :)

I can start a new run on the beta and after it becomes finalized my save will carry over to the non-beta game version right?
Yes.

It's alright. You can pick a class you are familiar with from Baldur's Gate (like I did when I just started playing), and start with normal or casual difficulty setting, level up your character yourself, but let the game auto-level your companion if learning about all of their classes is too much information at the moment. Difficulty settings are quite flexible, you can play with them to make it as comfortable for you as you want. Another thing that the previous game didn't have and this game does is a context tutorial, ... Read more
Would the patch require a new save?
Nope.
Is the beta branch only available on Steam or also on GoG?
Only on Steam for now.
Is there an ETA on when these fixes will hit the non-beta version?
1-2 weeks approximately. Maybe a bit more.
I would love it if you could look into savegames and loading screens in general getting longer and longer as you progress into the game. There is a noticable difference between act 1 and act4 where i am now, loading times dramatically increased.
While i have a really good pc the loading times are still ok for me personally, i dont think it is the case for the average player.
It's being looked at, although a significant part of it is engine limitations.
Will changing to beta break saves from working? Or vice versa when i revert to main branch later?
Won't break anything if you change to beta, backwards may give issues though, so better back it up.
What's the timeline for this coming off the beta branch?
Roughly 1-2 weeks.
Charge sometimes didn't work when friendly characters were too close - fixed.
swear this is in every patch notes
These kind of bugs usually have a whole array of reasons that cause them. They get fixed one by one, reducing the overall rate of appearance. Hopefully this time we nailed all or at least most of them.
Well, it’s good to know you guys are trying to fix it at least. Thanks for that.
Yup, it turned out to be a nightmare to deal with. Work's in progress and multiple times we thought we managed to nail it, but it still gets reproduced on some machines.
For Mac users - still no fix for Commander's tent bug.
Unfortunately yes :\ This bug is a true curse, team has been trying nearly everything about it by now.
"Because the list of changes is HUGE, we couldn't fit it here, so we put a link with the full patch notes instead"
Is there patch note summary I can see somewhere please outside of steam client? I am stuck at work for a 12h shift and dying to read the notes.
