It's the holiday period in New Zealand, so we don't have any development news to share today. With so many people playing Betrayal, we thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane to examine some of Path of Exile's early releases and some interesting facts related to them. It's been almost two weeks since the launch of the Betrayal expansion, but our players have already created many amazing hideouts! We've just released the Dragon Hunter Weapon Effect which imbues your weapon with flames and leaves a nice black and orange trail. Being a part of the Dragon Hunter theme, this effect works perfectly with the recently released Dragon Hunter Sword and Longsword, but it also looks great with any fire microtransaction.

The team is currently finishing work on the 3.5.0d update. Alongside several bug fixes, this patch includes improvements to Delve and Betrayal content. We're planning to deploy 3.5.0d in the middle of this week, most likely on Tuesday (US/EU time). For today's news post we've prepared a preview of this update to keep you informed.

We're starting this week by releasing the Dragon Hunter Sword and Longsword for one-hand and two-hand weapons respectively. These weapon skins are a part of the new Dragon Hunter microtransaction series which was designed in an epic fantasy style. The whole set of the Dragon Hunter microtransactions will be released by the end of this week.

This weekend we're holding a Super Stash Sale where we're discounting all Stash Tabs. Everything has been discounted, including the Fragment Tab, Map Tab, Premium Stash Tab Bundles, Premium Quad Stash Tab, Essence Tab, Divination Tab, Currency Tab and Guild Stash Tabs!

We've just released the Demon Parasite Armour Set and its accompanying back attachment. This armour set is designed to make your character look like a red and black demonic entity and is sure to make you appear more formidable to your enemies.

We've just introduced a new microtransaction for the popular Ancestral Warchief Skill. The Iron Maiden Ancestral Warchief Effect will replace the standard effect of your Ancestral Warchief with an Iron Maiden that bashes enemies with a spiked mace.
