Thanks! I don't suppose it's possible to drive 4k@120hz with DVIfrom gpu or anything existing on the market right now?
There are no HDMI 2.1 capable converters either unfortunately. We really do have to wait till the next gen GPUs come out. There is apparently a chip that they are starting to manufacture to do Display Port to HDMI 2.1 but there are no consumer devices you can buy yet.

Lvl 1 character named "TradeQuickSearch" (maybe implying better search in console, or ingame search in pc), 10 mirror stack in inventory and poker background image. Only missed oportunity was the 1337 by 3 minutes.
Can you link the specific model by chance? Been using a 40" for years and it's about time for an upgrade :)
I'm using the OLED55B9PVA but they have the higher end C9 as well. I don't think for PC monitor use that it makes any difference but I could be wrong.
Came here for this, i have one too, and waiting for 3080ti's like you :D
How do you go with path of exile and gsync in windowed mode? Something about windows 10 DWM and gsync in windowed mode. I can't get it to work properly. and i definitely can't play full screen on a 55"
Maybe you can mention it at work :P
I haven't gotten any games to work with Gsync in windowed mode honestly. I assumed it wasn't PoE specific, but if you are saying that it's possible for a game to fix that, then I can get someone to look into it.
Does it burn in, being an oled screen?
It's probably not a big deal in reality but I did take a few steps to stop it.
I have my screensaver set to full black, and to turn on after 60 seconds. I also have a black background on my desktop with no icons and my taskbar set to hide itself.
That way there shouldn't be anything static in exactly the same place for long periods of time.
Playing games in non native resolution tends to look shit though. 1080p on a 4k monitor is really blurry vs on a 1080p monitor. I think it's something to do with pixels being interpolated/estimated instead of simply copied. I'm not sure if TVs have this issue though
I was concerned about that. 1440p to 4K is a weird 2:3 scaling ratio so it certainly blurs the image a bit, but it's not so noticable in games at higher resolutions in my experience.
That said, I'm very keen for the next gen GPUs to come out so I don't have to compromise.
I don't see any air cond and just using fan. Is New Zealand weather really cool between 20 to 26 celcius?
Yeah, air conditioning here isn't as widespread as it seems to be in the states. Our summers don't get crazy hot. 26 is a pretty hot day (although it can reach the 30s but it's not usual). I don't know the exact numbers but I'd hazard a guess that the temperature generally sits between 15-23 degrees.
f**king hell the tyranny you live under
It's not as bad as it sounds and more importantly, we're having a lot of success beating the virus.
I don't think that's how it works. If they work like totems or traps or mines or mirage archer or vaal double strike, they use only your stats, and not their own. The one exception would be things that modify their action speed, since they use their own action speed, so if they get chilled they'll slow down even if you're not chilled, and vice-versa.
/u/mark_ggg is this correct (regarding Mirage Warriors from Reflection)? They don't double-benefit from warcry buffs like Rallying Cry's damage buff?
You are entirely correct. They use your skills, not their own, so their stats that would affect their skills have no effect. They're exactly like totems in that regard.
My old milkshake post is relevant here.
*They're ?
Holy shit - is that Against the Ogre Horde HeroQuest boardgame being used as a monitor stand? WHO DESECRATES THE HOLY RELIC.
I've got a few copies of it :p Those boxes are empty, I put everything into a bigger better box. We the figures in our D&D podcast sometimes
f**k yeah I have that exact same French press!
Love the stainless steel ones.
Over the years, I've had so many glass ones just suddenly shatter
It's probably super comfy, like that beaten up and chewed by the dog old slipper that's somehow the comfiest thing that's ever touched your feet.
It has gotten more comfy over the last few weeks...
So when you guys are QAing the game for builds like this do you guys have to go and level from 1 to whatever it takes for the build to function and craft your own gear or can you generate characters/gear to do your testing with?
I want to assume it is based on what you are QAing.
Im also laughing at the thought of you QAers stockpiling characters to respec with and trading orbs of regret around the office for kitkats and such.
The LL CoC Bladefall character I'm speaking about is my live server character. On our internal realm I can import characters, use cheats/create whatever I need or if time permits and balance requires it I'll level the characters manually.
u/Bex_GGG Important question, favorite Ninja turtle?
Raphael
Does Kamil work full-time at GGG?
Yep!
The true test of a person is in their ability to macgyver up a solution to unexpected problems. Blake's aces in my books.
haha Gotta make do with what i got. Everyday I check the delivery status on my new chair and think, Maybe today is the day... but nope, it hasn't moved since the lock-down started.
And now it's flaired GGG because you commented on it.
