If this ends up being a complete duff on the player's end with just RNG being perceived as a bug, can I formally request that the spawn rate is look at? Or at least the accrual rate from map bosses.

All I can be absolutely sure of as regards myself and others is that it currently feels quite bad.

Yeah, I can't confirm that but it would definitely be worth raising the question.

We've spent a tonne of time investigating this. We tried to reproduce it internally and weren't able to. We scoured the code and found no issues. Earlier this week I asked people who were experiencing this to send me their accounts so that we could look at their specific cases to see if something unusual was happening. In two of those cases, the players messaged me afterwards to say that they'd found those masters since. In all of those cases, we tested dozens of maps on their accounts and found that all masters had spawned.

Right now one of our sys-admins is working on a script to scan the instance logs of these accounts so that we can see exactly how many masters have spawned for them and which ones. This is taking a while so it's unlikely we'll see results until early Monday.

The rate that masters appear naturally in maps is 10% and therefore 2% per master. Maps are also limited to one master at a time. This means that if you're forcing masters to spawn through...

Wow, I wasn't expecting us to win that against such strong competition.

I am glad I didn't use the acceptance speech draft that started with "le toucan has arrived".

Hi everyone,

I want to take a moment to talk about a few things but in particular, the changes to the Purposeful Harbinger notable that we announced a few days ago.

If you are not in the loop, here's what happened - The Cluster Jewel system in Path of Exile: Delirium introduced 281 new notable passive skills, including one called Purposeful Harbinger. This notable grants "10% increased Effect of Aura Buffs on You for each Herald affecting you". There were two issues with this notable. Firstly, it is severely numerically overpowered. Secondly, it was broken in that it affected game mechanics that it shouldn't have — anything that was internally classified as an aura — rather than just auras from skills as intended.

Players quickly began to use the intended effects of Purposeful Harbinger in ways that were extremely strong. It became clear that builds centred around Purposeful Harbinger were the most powerful options in the game. The power level was so stron...

Later this week (Thursday or Friday NZ) we'll be releasing our next patch which contains further improvements to Delirium and some bug fixes. We've prepared a preview of what this patch contains by putting together the patch notes early.

Delirium Improvements
  • Active Legion encounters now cause Delirium mist to pause its movement during both the Frozen phase and the Combat phase (previously it was just the Frozen phase).
  • Active Blight encounters now cause Delirium mist to pause its movement while you are within a large radius of Blight Portals, rather than the Ichor Pump. This is because Blight Portals can sometimes spawn very far away!
  • Reduced the height of Delirium reward bars so that the top of the images is actually where you receive rewards.
  • Reduced the volume of Vengeful Skyfire's meteor impact sound effects.
  • The Purposeful Harbinger notable now grants "10% increased Effect of Au...
