We tested a range of 2 and found out that it make the Bomber completely worthless, so it was put back to 3.

Well, it's more than that, really.

Yes, whaling is a problem and it did factor into our decision, but not nearly as much as our overall dislike of the whale mechanic, which we wanted to get rid of.

We were also hoping to remove Navalons for a while, too, and so it all kinda came together.

  • Remove whales

  • Swap them for a new mechanic

  • Find a new graphic to show that we changed things.

Sorry if I made the impression that it was only to remove references to irl whaling.

How about keeping the pre-beta continents map and either renaming it or the new continents type to something else like Continents I and Continents II? Some people will surely prefer the old spawning algorithm, and it can't hurt to leave it in.

The old Continents map was actually one of the largest complaints we'd get on a regular basis, so we listened to the people and changed it.
