Hi Ubi - love the game! (Thanks for making Outbreak and then taking it up a notch!) I do however have an issue...

The update on March 18 added new enemies. Two of these seem to have a sound issue, namely Storm Spikers and Feral Grunts. Storm Spikers and their projectiles don't make distinct sounds, and Feral Grunts only make a footstep 'squelch' like sound instead of a grunt. In the case of Feral Grunts, this makes hearing them difficult if not impossible over other game sounds. For Storm Spikers, you don't know one is there until a chunk (or multiple chunks) of health is taken.

Sound levels are default (aside from silenced music) and I've reverified game files using Ubisoft Connect - all were OK. Updated GPU drivers and still an issue.

These are reproduceable on every playthrough where these enemies spawn. The launch trailers of these enemies have distinct sounds.

Video examples.

GPU: RTX 3080 10GB (driver 512.59)

Thanks!

Hello there @Colude!

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying Extraction! I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered some audio troubles during your excursions, though. Thanks for taking the time to share your reports with us.

Regarding the Storm Spikers - I can see that the dedicated teams have been notified about their silent shooting, and are looking into this issue further. I'd recommend keeping an eye out within the News & Announcements forum for any future updates regarding this issue, as they'll be shared in patch notes here.

As for Feral Grunts, I wasn't able to find any similar reports of this issue. I've now forwarded the videos you've provided to the dedicated teams so they can take a closer look at this, as well the Reddit thread you've provided.

If we require any additional information from you, we'll reach out within this thread. In the meantime, please keep an eye out in the News & Announcements forum for any future updates.

Thanks! 😊
