After the "maintenance" the game freezes while playing for a few seconds then crashes to desktop, During the last 2hr this has happened 8 times, on 2 occasions it also left my character "MIA" despite having almost full health on both occasions.
I have also had several connection issues which were not present before the "maintenance"

Please see our troubleshooting guide. In particular from that guide, please make sure you've updated your graphics drivers and operating system (because our update might rely on equivalent updates from these systems), you've verified the game files (to check nothing went amiss during the update), and you don't have any unnecessary background programs interfering with the game (such as firewalls or graphics/system optimisers).
For the connection issues you've mentioned - we haven't had any reports of widespread issues, so I'd also like to invite you to perform the steps in our connectivity guide. In particular, from that article, please remember to reset your network hardware, switch to a wired connection (if possible, and if you aren't already), and check for software conflicts that might be causing interference.
If the crashing and connection issues persist, please let me know. In that case, it'd be useful to have some descriptions of what was happening in the game when it froze and crashed, so we can try to identify a common element, and if the connection issues had specific error codes.
