[2022] Pings Not Showing From Other Players

I play on a Series X and almost every time when I am playing with my brother (Series S), I do not see his tags on anything, from supplies to archaeans. I apparently don't have privileges to attach the gameplay clip to show you on here, but the supply case outline will get brighter when he pings it, but no colored square/box over it that I could otherwise see easily from anywhere on the map. I don't seem to have this issue with random players for some reason. I've gone through the settings to try and see if turning a setting off/on will fix it, but nothing works. pretty much if I am not close enough to see that there's a slightly brighter outline on something, i won't know that it's been pinged.
