Hi! I'm raising the concern of sudden FPS drop in game, specifically when I'm in a match. My laptop has an Intel 7700-HQ, GTX 1070, and runs on 32GB of RAM. Before the Vulkan update I was running at around 100 fps, and after the Vulkan update I was pleased because I was getting an average of 120-150 fps. However, after the 2nd PC maintenance of the Vulkan update my frames are down to a constant 70 fps.

I updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers (442.19) and thought maybe it was because of that my frames went down. So I rolled back to the previous one which was compatible with Vulkan (441.87) but I'm still stuck at 70 fps. I read around and verified my game files and still no improvement.

I hope someone can help me with this concern. Will be waiting for a response. Thanks!

Hey there, BigB19ckLab! I'm terribly sorry to hear about these FPS drops after the latest patch in Rainbow Six Siege. Thank you for letting me know what you've tried on your own to remedy this! Since verifying your game files didn't work, can you please complete the other steps in our PC guide here? Disabling your background applications is a great step to take as this ensures there are no programs or applications that could be affecting Siege's performance. Thanks!

Sounds good, thank you so much for giving those a try for me!

I'm sorry to hear those steps did not help! I still greatly appreciate you giving them a try. Next, please try performing a clean boot. If you're still running into problems after that process, please upload your MSinfo and DxDiag files to the team at support.ubi.com for more specialized assistance. Let me know the case number once you've created it!

No problem Simoplayer200, thanks for updating us with this information.

If possible can you tell us what RTX update are you using? Is it the 461.72 update for your Nvidia 2060 or another?

If possible are you able to test this, by rolling back your driver to the previous one from about one month ago, if available, to see if your FPS returns to normal to test this?

You should be able to find all previous drivers from this website - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

Can I also ask, is this affecting you in Vulkan mode or DirectX mode and have you had the opportunity to test both?

Hey there.

Hey there.

If the issue persists still after performing a clean boot would you be able to submit your system files to us so we can investigate further? You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.

After you've opened the case if I can also ask you to attach two system reports to the case that will assist us in identifying any potential cause. The reports we need from you are:

MSInfo
DxDiag

Thanks.

I can see that you've created a separate thread for this, to which I've just replied a moment ago, so have a look when you get a chance!
