Heyo, so what has happened is there are a few different banners that can appear in that section and in this instance some of the newer ones ran their course and some of the alternates are not set to show if for example you have already engaged with the prime gaming one so it defaulted to this older one.

Team is aware of it and will be likely shifting around some of the older ones in favour of newer banners like necromancy.

I can recommend a few steps, although most are outlined on our website so it's more of a personal recommendation.

Someone constantly attempting to reset your password would push me towards believing that they have or have had e-mail access in the past. Keeping it somewhat in the order of what I recommend, I'd do the following if it were my account.

For whichever e-mail provider you use, I would Google "inbox rules" and make sure you have none enabled on your e-mail account. I would then look at e-mail forwarding and make sure that there are none you do not recognize. Hijackers tend to apply one of the two mentioned above as it means that they can still technically access your e-mails without having access to your e-mail account.

Once you've confirmed that none of the above are true, I would log into your account on the Runescape website and look at "linked accounts". Make sure there are none there that you do not recognize. People link Google or Steam accoun...

It didn't prove to be practical in the end to chop it up into segments to mix and match with other outfits - its joints are very padded, in order to be gender-neutral, so there are very noticeable seams between its kit pieces. Consequently the art team requested that we didn't add it to the Wardrobe.

It does get used by the Default Player Models feature in Graphics Settings to substitute elaborately customised player avatars in crowded areas to minimise their performance impact, so lives on in a way.

Progress doesn't carry over but if you wanna switch back to playing regular worlds :

  • Jagex Launcher Users:
    • Close the clients you're using.
    • Right-click the Jagex Launcher icon on your taskbar
    • Click "Exit"
    • Wait a few seconds
    • Load the Jagex Launcher from your start menu normally.
  • For Non-Jagex Launcher Users:
    • Close the clients you're using.
    • Reload the client as per normal.

Yeah, as you and others have inferred, your video is prior to the rebalance of XP from monsters across the game that released with Necromancy.

Invention item XP is derived on damage from that monster XP - Feeling Pumped tokenises the combat XP you would have got if activated at the time of death.

You're getting similar item XP with and without Feeling Pumped, as expected, because the mutator doesn't modify item XP.

I assumed that using a backup code would disable the 2fa app on your account, but someone posted this in the account help channel on discord today:

Looking for some help with Jagex Account Multi Factor Auth. I replaced my phone recently, and have no access to the old one. I had one backup code for my MFA, and used it to log into RS on my new phone. I realize now this was a mistake (thought I'd be able to go into Account Management if I was logged into the game, but it requires a separate login). Is there anything I can do at this point? I tried restoring Authenticator with no luck.

I guess he's screwed now? I have spent months telling people to save "at least 1 of the backup codes"... Oops... Going forward I will definitely be telling people to save all of the backup codes. >_<

It does not. We did a lot of research into backup codes across the tech sector for this and its pretty standard (from what I recall) that the App 2FA remains active when a backup code is used.

How many backup codes do you need to use to actually disable 2fa? 1 to get into account management, then another for each account change? (Log in, enable 2fa emails, then disable 2fa app, three codes?)

You need 1 backup code to disable App 2FA, that should be plenty enough to ensure that you have access (as you mention) through email 2FA then you can use that to go through the rest of the steps of resetting your App 2FA. Unless I've misunderstood your userflow.

It would be nice if there was an optional step during the...

No, unfortunately I am not able to intervene on an individual player's behalf.

I literally and deliberately do not have a direct line of contact with Player Support, so that all players are treated fairly.

Player Support require the account holder to contact them for any discussions about your player data.

I can only point you toward their contact page, and wish you the best of luck.

What about mains that slightly overlevelled to correct a mistake?

Can you help a main since you helped pures? u/Jagex_Stu

Unfortunately, no, there isn't anything I can do to help you. Content developers are not permitted to modify individual player accounts, so that Player Support have exclusive control over account management.

You could try contacting Player Support https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/p/contact to submit a lost item claim. I suspect trimming an undesired skill cape wouldn't qualify as a missing item, but eligibility is Player Support's decision (hence I'm unable to intervene).

"Nastroth can reset XP in a skill of your choice to its minimum, provided the chosen skill doesn't exceed level 10 (or level 15 if Constitution)."

This feature is, essentially, intended for pures who have slightly overlevelled to correct that mistake, and consequently doesn't reset associated content (hence the level requirement)....

It kind of just feels like the beta proposes more damage. I'm not sure damage is the solution as to why combat feels unsatisfying.

It feels extremely clunky. Just to touch on a few of the difficulties within combat:

  1. I have to cancel channeled abilities because it's higher damage.
  2. Animations often don't match the damage hits, so I have to animation cancel as well.
  3. Magic has like 5 different basics to use - none of them are interesting beyond damage scalings.
  4. Why dodefensive autos exist? (same issue as 4taa?)
  5. Why do auto attacks exist? Why am I doing them at all when I have powerful abilities to use. I think necro really got the simplification of this correct.
  6. HItboxes don't match tiles (sunshine/death swiftness).
  7. The tick syst...

Like others have stated: This is the first iteration.

We're looking to frequent updates to the beta as we develop with players feedback, a lot of the things you've listed we are intending on trialing fixes for, but one step at a time.

I noticed this testing dds. Its clunky to lowball crit and high roll non crit creating a weird dynamic where the non crit hits higher than the crit.

Additionally, ezk bleeding 3ks from a 25k initial hit doesnt feel correctly scaled.

We'll be squishing damage ranges in a later build of the beta which will resolve this weirdness. I'm working on it currently. - Sponge.

it's on the list, don't worry; it's just very labor intensive with less to show for the work additionally we want to make sure the beta is used to it's full potential, arguably something like the HP bonus wouldnt make the most out of the beta time period so it's 'less' important to trial on there.

UPDATE: Beta should now be live

On first login, your live save is imported into the Beta. You can re-import your save into the Beta once per hour.

You will need to close any running instances of the Jagex launcher via the taskbar to login.

First Batch should be landing with next weeks update yeah

Yeah as Garl mentions, the market spotlight is a limited size so we have to shuffle stuff around to get new things to fit.

This is something the team is looking to tackle going forward as we want players to be able to see and find the interesting items on the market.

Unfortunately what those issues are can range from minor typos to rewriting whole functions of the game so there is a bit of prioritization that goes on with available time.

This is where it crosses over with GameJam projects, commonly there are Gamejam projects that started out to resolve an issue that developer had faced or seen the community was facing, so if a dev has started out a project to resolve something that is also on the community hitlist then it makes sense to carry on their work and get it out to players in these dedicated strikes.

So what you will likely see in these hitlists are some larger projects that take time to investigate and resolve, some game jam fixes that were in the works and could be picked up and other miscellaneous fixes.
