The current invention XP rates in Shattered Worlds are considered to be working as intended. Invention XP is derived from the XP you get from defeating monsters, and combat XP from monsters across the board were rebalanced around the time of Necromancy. This isn't caused or influenced by Feeling Pumped.

Zanik she is a mess. There is like a different Zanik model in every Zanik quest.

Fairies are outdated as well, we have a beautiful fairy model in snowflake that just needs to wrangle some artists to create some extra details and hair/clothing styles so we can retain the fairy variety but not have them look like they are made of 12 polygons.

Also Skavids.

Zamorak mages are another, like all the zamorak mages south of ardy could be updated with the red cultist robes and look great.

Oh, Zanik. Zanik, Zanik, Zanik. Where do we even start?

Would the guards and officers at Tyras Camp count?

Lovely, will add these, thanks!

Great stuff - thank you. Will add those to the list.

Just to clarify, when you're asking about old models, are you referring to NPCs using pre-2012 armor designs (like the guards in Yanille, or Khazard troopers), or do you mean NPCs that are so ancient they're not using HD models?

Why not both? I've got no problems with collating both categories.

Happy Monday, 'Scapers!

I've been speaking to a few of the team and I wanted to ask a question regarding NPCs - namely, NPCs using old models. I'd like to build a catalogue of NPCs that have outdated variants or NPCs using old assets that look wrong. (King Arthur in disguise is the example that springs to mind.)

This is something I'm looking to do of my own volition and is not a guarantee that we will be making sweeping overhauls, but I wanted to turn this question to your sage counsel! Let me know any that spring to mind in the comments. Thanks in advance!

I should clarify, I won't be working on RS3. I'm back, but am working... on something else... ;)

Well, let me welcome you to RuneScape! Dragon Bones are a great step up from regular bones but fighting dragons can be scary starting out - what are your stats looking like so far? How many quests have you done! I'm so excited for you starting out your journey!

I’d love to know the differences that mean something can just be hotfixed vs having to wait for a full deployment. Just from a purely technical point of view

I don't know, actually. I've been chatting with a few of the team about the possibility to do a livestream talking through things like lighting fixes and graphical updates. Having seen RuneScript, I can confirm it's pretty eldritch to look at, so it might be a bit intimidating to the uninitiated (like me) but I think we could look at that! Maybe we can pick a specific issue or topic and see about explaining the why and how, for something in future. Thanks for the suggestion, Agent!

If you're not an Ironman, I've heard that you get pretty good xp/hr with Reinforced Dragon Bones, Mints with a Holy and Salvation Aura at the Chapel. 👀

First of all, lightmode?!

Second of all, I've not been squished by a giant spinning reddit logo yet, but it sounds like this is a rite of... hmmm, maybe best not to use that phrase... a compulsory hazing for CMs! I'll keep watching over my shoulder just in case.

Good morning Byurner! The team spotted your post, have investigated, and a hotfix went out this morning to fix the timer on the Gourd Gobstoppers (and the other candies). I've still got a bunch of the Mints with a Holy to use, I hit 92 Prayer last week!

Good morning! A hotfix went out a few minutes ago for this exact thing - thank you for flagging it up! You've got plenty of time to gorge yourself on gobstoppers. It's not how I'd start my day typically but hey, it's still basically Halloween so it's allowed!
