Hi all, hopefully this isn’t lost to the depths of the thread. I’d misunderstood the changes earlier, and wasn’t aware we’d only adjusted the impling spawn rates with the scrimshaw and not the increased chance of birds nest - this is as it was at the time of the update.

Our approach doesn’t change, we are monitoring income of hatchets into the game and will make changes where necessary

Thanks for all the feedback in this thread. I can fully sympathise with this feeling like a kick in the butt when compared to the elevated rates that were available before the hotfix, and we’ll do our best to make sure they land in a good place as quick as possible

Pickaxe: guaranteed piece every hour ish at lava flow mine so about 4 hours minimum for the pickaxes.

Mattock: A piece is rolled every material gathered, and even then people had issues in going dry on pieces.

Now compare to the hatchet:

You chop a log to roll for a birds nest, then you roll to see if that birds nest is an imcando piece.

Obviously jmods have a final say but I do think if birds nest are going to remain the only way to get the hatchet pieces then maybe take a page out of the lava flow mine book and give the hatchet nests themselves some weighing to be in favor of the hatchet nests after a certain amount of time woodcutting.

I’m not sure if this has been noted elsewhere by our CM - whilst the ability to obtain them is unlocked, every nest you obtain that is not an imcando nest will reduce (make better) the roll required to get it next time

Edit: not correct, bird nest chance did not change with this hotfix

Hey, we’ll be looking to resolve this tomorrow in a hotfix, apologies for inconvenience. In the meantime, it should be possible to deposit the spirits into your bank and retrieve them from there, albeit not ideal

Hotfix⚠️: The dwarven chainaxe no longer gives XP and Produce when in double-resource mode.

Impling spawn rates from the tree shaking scrimshaw have been reduced after they were spawning too frequently post woodcutting changes.

You can use it as a training method for Construction. Infinitely rebuilding the Fort Buildings is an alternative to POH or Construction Contracts.
