Thanks for the kind words! I'm pretty focused on this area of the game so I'm not sure how quickly things will change to warrant updates, but happy to talk about what's going on.

Hey all - I’m guy_smiley. I run the store on Spellbreak. I set the store schedule, the prices, and figure out how every cosmetic is earned including chapter rewards. A few things have come up lately and I’d like to take some time to talk about our general philosophy around purchases in Spellbreak.

There's a lot all wrapped up in here. I won't be able to respond to a lot of it for a variety of reasons (plans aren't firm, don't want to announce stuff buried in the comment of a random post, not my place to talk about, and more!), but let's see what I can talk about. I'm going to break from your ordering because I think about things differently, so I hope that's okay!

Balance / progression

It shouldn't be especially surprising that there are changes coming to a lot of the stuff you (and others) have mentioned as well as some things you haven't. I don't want to talk about them in any detail since they're still subject to change but Recovery, Pyro, Frostborn (whaaaaat?!), Tempest, lightning, ice, stone, and a bunch of other things are being touched in a variety of ways next release.

As for progression, yeah, I feel you. Prologue was intended to be easy/fast but coming out at the same...

We goofed up in the Shop.

1. The Jade Spiral cloudburst was only supposed to be obtained for free by playing the Prologue. It's appearance in the shop was unintended and should not have happened.
2. We just released a hotfix to remove the item

This is feedback we have heard a lot (even before this thread) and something we're discussing.

I honestly can't speak to a lot of the feature details since we're actively working on it. Ideally, yes, you'd be able to "save up" progress towards upgrading an outfit though.

Wanted to share some thoughts in response to all of the feedback on the Smoldering Warrior and associated elemental-themed outfits over the past 18 hours.

First, we should have better communicated ahead of time that these were never intended as class mastery rewards. They’ve been kicking around for a year or two at this point (in concept art, press screens, leaks, and more) and while we’ve said on multiple occasions that they would not be mastery rewards, it’s clear that there was some confusion around them and we should have better anticipated these concerns. Apologies for this!

Second, the epic and legendary tiers of these outfits will NOT be sold in the store. Instead, the later tiers will be unlocked by upgrading the rare version of the outfit by progressing through an upcoming Chapter Pass. The design goal here is to give you something to work towards and let you show off your dedication to the outfit. This functionality is ...

We've never stated a determined gender identity for Outfits like Barren, Hollow, or Keymaster. Body types for all genders come in all different shapes and sizes, so *shrug*

Hey there! If I'm not mistaken, you need to log into Epic Games on a PC and then into Spellbreak under your Spellbreak account. This will tie into your Switch collections. If you have any further issues, please feel free to reach out to our support team and see if they can help you out more!

Hi there! For clarification, the codes that went out do need to be redeemed in the Epic Games Launcher and on the account that you've got linked for Spellbreak. Once you get into Spellbreak on that PC, you don't have to play but you do need to get into the game for the redemption to work. This will allow you to see whatever you've redeemed on any console you play on. Once again, this will be only on the platform where you have signed into your Spellbreak account.

I will add one thing and that is currency (gold) will not go across platforms. These are platform locked and we do not have control over that. If you buy currency on PC it will not show up on Xbox. However if you buy something on your PC account, that cosmetic will show up in console.

Separately, will say you get a pro rata discount on a bundle if you already own some Contents. Eg If bundle base value is 5000 and you own an outfit from it that costs 2000 base you get 40% off buying the rest.
