Good news! We have broken through our 65k concurrent player limit and have hit a new peak!

Bad news: a new bottleneck has been found in our servers. We're on it right now. Hang on as we reset the servers.

An important message from 1047 Games on the current server situation:

P.S. We are happy to announce that we have hired an additional back-end engineer who starts tomorrow.

We don't want to over-promise anything but want to be as transparent as possible because we are learning a lot! We should have a queue system implemented shortly so 65k players can play, and we will work on changing our database implementation over the next 24 hours.

We spent all night optimizing more but after talking to AWS, we learned our database (redis) can only handle 65,536 concurrent players (what we hit last night). So no optimizations matter yet. We are working on a queue system to let 65k ppl in until we remove this limitation.

We empathize. Everyone who has been graciously patient with us, please do the same to these Devs. Just because they're bigger doesn't mean they aren't human, too!

We tried to respond to as many of you as we could, but your replies keep coming faster than we can keep up!
Here's the bottom line: we see the overwhelming support and the legitimate complaints. Just know that your good will and confidence in us is well placed. Good night all!❤️

We have decided to take the beta offline for tonight. It’s been a rough day trying to handle this scale and it’s not fair to you.
