@sink_different The Gamma Ray Burst likely got a lot weaker over the 1.9 billion light years it had to travel to reach us. 😉

1.9 Billion years ago, Scientists think a massive star collapsed, forming a black hole at its core. On Sunday, Oct. 9th, the Gamma Ray Burst from this stellar birth washed over the Earth in one of the most luminous GRBs ever recorded.
