@GethUnit666 Yeah... in retrospect I think they will reach the same conclusion. BlizzCon was probably not the place to announce that project, especially not as the last presentation.

In the end it probably won't affect the Diablo franchise. Diablo for PC will be a completely separate project.
Its probably easier for Blizzard to make a deal with them – for a Diablo-themed mobile game – then to try to pursue legal actions vs a Chinese developer. I would also guess this will be mainly oriented towards the asian market than the western.
Reading up a bit more on it... its apparently made by the same company that makes a "basically identical" game called Crusaders of Light. NetEase has already been basically 1:1 copying Blizzard's art style.
Wow... people really seem to hate the newly announced Diablo: Immortal game. I am interested to see how the game turns out, since its an interesting design challenge. To be fair though, I don't enjoy mobile games and would probably not enjoy the game as a player. #diabloimmortal
