Still happening, I never purposely select normal games but somehow I get put into them
What we assume is happening is that your queue state is being defaulted to normal, which happens when you can't get the eligibility requirements before you open the app.
We're removing that default state setting for patch 10.23, so it should not happen after that and should be based on the same system as before. When you open the app, can you keep an eye out for what queue is selected before you queue up and let me know if you see something out of the ordinary that doesn't match what I just said?

We have added this info to Chosen tooltip, and unless there's a serious bug or issue, it will go out in the next patch!

Screenshots would be great, I think we're good with the logs we got so far but I'll let you know if we end up needing anything different :)

I did not pay attention until you asked in this post and the past two games I have played have been normal and I will keep my eye on the queue bubble for now and let you know if it ever has that problem
It has happened at night and afternoon so the time of day does not seem to play a factor

it happened again got 4th but no lp gain or loss did not show up in the after game stats
Also, everytime you queue, can you check the lobby display name (Ranked/Normals) and the text that it says on the actual queue popping. I want to exclude a chance that this is a different error than I currently think.
