There is no way to reset Tech tree but you have a backup option made for you to make any number of backups of your campaign progress to be able to return to the previous step if you don't like the decissions you made about your tech tree choices.

In the map main screen you have the Back up option, you can make a backup, select the tech you think it's proper and play the mission. If you don't like it, you can return to the saved point before chosing.

The game has more than 33ks reviews where you can read with not many problems how the game works and what are its main features. Also you have a big, big, big amount of videos on Youtube to check how the game goess.

Being said this, the game offers the possibility of enjoy a lot if you have the enough patience to beat the difficulty curve that, maybe can be big, but at the end it's very rewarding. Sometimes you have to be focused on the trip intead of the end and if you do that, you will enjoy every step until you get the desired end... and you will feel so great.

Can the game be improved even more that it has been? For sure and we will learn for our future projects but we have been honest with the product we have delivered and the product is honest with the buyer if this know what is buying.

The core of the issue is that the installation of SlimDX is not finished or not done properly. The questions is fiding what is blocking this installation.

Just for curiosity, is it your OS fully updated and how old is your OS installation?

The most common problem when you get this kind of error log is because the installation of the SlimDX are not done properly. This usually is brought along by any program blocking the writting permission in the moment of the installation. Commonly this blocking program is the antivirus (real time scanners) or firewall.

Can you try to download the SlimDX installer and execute it as administrator?

Install directly in this path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\They Are Billions

If you set the game into easy level you will be given the same research points but the items you have to pick up will bright much more times.

Could you copy the lines in your ZXLog after you game crashes? It's important you copy them before launching the game again.

This file usually is in the path Documents/My Games/They are billions

Go to your Library, over the name of the game use right button, propierties, local files, explore. That is the container folder.

So open that folder, unistall the game, delete the folder and reinstall again.

No se puede obtener el 100% de las tecnologías. De este modo se intenta maximizar la rejugabilidad de la campaña. Siempre puedes volver a jugarla usando otras tecnologías y otras estrategias.

Your logs don't show anything wrong. Please, check if your antivirus or firewall are blocking the game. There are some antivirus or/and firewalls that blocked the rights for the game to create files or modify them so it ends into a crash. You can allow the game in the antivirus blacklist or also allow theyarbillions.exe as administrator.

Also the real time scanners from antivirus can bring along this same issue. Disable it if you have one.
