[2022] Split screen problem using a keyboard and controller

Just to check as you note this began recently - have you already tried verifying the game's files? Just to rule out any file issues caused by an update.

And may we please know what controls you're using as P1 and P2? (ie. is P1 using Mouse and Keyboard)

Give this a try for me, start the game with the PS4 controller disconnected and get the split-screen gameplay set up first then connect the controller. Let me know if that allows you to get the controller used on a separate player-screen!

We're sorry to see you're having some trouble with split screen as well.

Can I have you make sure that your controller firmware is up to date for me? I'd also like to have you try remapping the controls on the controller. You can change something random and then set it back to default or to the way you had it. Keep me updated on this, please!

We all work across a wide variety of games, so you may be a different Ubi-person each time.

I've gone ahead and check this myself though and have the exact same issue - both my keyboard and controller (in my test an XB360 pad) control P1.

I've reported this to the team to take a closer look at.

We have received confirmation that this is an intended behaviour in the game. It is not possible to play the split-screen mode with just one controller and one keyboard. In order to play it with more players locally, you need the same number of controllers, as players.

We've logged the feedback to allow for this kind of setting in the future though. If we have more information about it, we'll let everyone know through these forums and our patch notes, thanks!

@Darthvlad11 Sadly we don't have any kind of estimate for when this will be available again, but since we've already sent up some feedback for you, here's hoping that this feature will make a return soon!
