I'd never have the patience to save up containers for an entire month. That does make for a cool picture, though!

Not really sure why the patch thing happens. I'll try to remember to ask when I get into work.

I don't have an ETA, but it's something we're looking into. We know folks want a new/rotating inventory for CT redemption.

There is a very noticeable and definable difference in skill as you climb leagues. While it may not be the depth of difference you want, it is still there and does result in games that make more functional sense in terms of map movement and play concepts.

We're a free-to-play game and there's nothing wrong with enjoying the freely available options.

In terms of Free-to-Play content that is not Event-dependent, we have:

5 Carrier Lines

9 Battleship Lines

12 Cruiser Lines

11 Destroyer Lines

There's nothing wrong with enjoying what we have for free.

Bombs are still the correct choice as the sub was the one spotting the CV. It would need to come to Periscope Depth to re-spot the ship. While bombs may not have enough penetration under the water to hit all of Periscope Depth, they are exceptional at lingering over targets and keeping the area lit for ASW attacks from the nearby battleships. Also, Bombs actually can be expected to do something against a sub whereas Torpedo planes cannot.

If you're in a Brawling Battleship, there are a LOT of things that can spot you. CV spotting is not the difference between you moving forward or not... because when you move closer to the enemy you will spot yourself doing so.

Brawling styles like that are best utilized in the mid-late game where many enemies have been sunk to avoid your ship getting hard focused down. The armor of a Battleship shrugs off damage, but no ship is expected to win a 2v1 or 3v1. Committing earlier would just mean an even higher weight of fire being thrown onto your ship.

-

It sounds like you're looking for a more permanent Brawl-mode to that you can start the game where there as less enemies so that you can immediately go on the aggressive in your armored brawler?

You're making an assertion that I don't think is correct. You're treating CVs as self-inflicted damage in the name of profit, but this assertion doesn't make sense.

Damaging the game health means players will immediately pull away and find something wrong or unplayable. This isn't the case as we've had Reworked CVs in our game for over 3 years and continue to have an engaging product. To assume that a small handful of Premium CVs and 5 shortened tech tree lines is profitable enough to justify threatening the existence of our entire product is a very large assertion. It's a powerful narrative, and it's repeated often, but a "follow the money" look at the situation should show that CVs aren't some "cash grab" because it just doesn't work that way.

Training Battles are there for learning alone, with some general bots, or with some friends. Co-Op is available, too.

-

As for Randoms, that battle mode is there for everyone. It's NOT the World Series of Hyper Competitive E-Sports. It's NOT a Life or Death situation. It's just a game with some other folks that wanted to play, too.

I realize it's frustrating when you want to play a high level game but your team doesn't show up, but that's what Clan Battles and Ranked is for. Those are the places to find the higher level experiences because you can choose your teams in Clan Battles and you can refine your available partners through reaching higher Ranked Leagues. Random Battles is a basic mode where everyone can show up to play our game and fight against other players of any and all skill levels.

I'm here every day~

A big part of why I play is because I've gotten older and games just keep getting faster. I can't play twitch-reflex based stuff at the level a teenager can. The paced out gameplay of WoWs was huge for me.

Mostly, I play the game as though it was a puzzle game that involves pieces that are constantly moving and leading to different answers at different times.

Happens literally every day. Matches with no CVs and Subs happen frequently.

That might be your jam, but there are folks that still get mad even with the standard 4 BB, 4 CA, 4 DD setup. It's just a game and the composition of the game dictates what you need to pay attention to for proper decision-making.

Think of it like Chess.

There are those that know how the Horse Moves.

There are those that know the names of some openings.

There are those that memorize books on openings.

There are those that memorize decades and centuries of tournaments.

-

WoWs has literally all kinds. We have our versions of each type of player above.

Yes, in those instances the increase in Air Detection could be useful for the Submarine at Periscope Depth. The DD could simply turn off its AA, though.

There are games without CVs, so CV spotting has no effect in those.

As to Fire, it's a counter-point to the heavy Armor of the Battleship. No ship in our game is immune to damage and fire allows heavily armored ships to still be threatened by other Ship Types.

When a DD's AA is firing, it's Air Detect blooms out to its AA range, so yes that would matter.

Although if the DD is shooting friendly planes, the planes are probably spotting it anyway since it's shooting at them.

The easiest way to learn something is just to play it a few times. You'll mess up, play it again, mess up less, play it again, and then start to get the hang of it.

If you have questions, folks are really happy to help out with information.

Unfortunately, our game is extremely hard to learn. It's easy to figure out how to play, but making proper decisions is very complex and daunting.

As a player learns what ships and ship types can do, they grow stronger as players, but it really can be a long road to mastery so you'll often see mistakes as everyone starts out as a new player.

Remember that an AP shell has a Fuse that is only triggered when hit a plate thick enough to start the timer.

If you fire a 406mm shell, you need 1/6th of the caliber to trigger the fuse... so that's 68mm of armor just to get the shell to Arm to detonate later. Then it also has to stay inside the ship long enough for it to explode, which is typically about 33 milliseconds after (which is a fair distance when a shell moves so quick).

-

If you're shooting at a Light Cruiser, the only things that are armored are really the Citadel and the guns... so if your shell strikes somewhere else it may literally never arm as it passed through the ship.

Max Depth seems a little interesting at the moment.

Submarines were just brought back for another round of testing, so there can be some growing pains with reintroducing things back in.
