We've used SBMM in "Brawls". It worked out for people that had wins and losses, but it rapidly got awkward for people that won repeatedly.

That being said, it's still on the newer side of trying it out so iteration is still a thing. After a change last Brawl, match times were helped out for instance.

It's not about work, it's about the result.

Yes, if teams were matched by some form of skill metric then teams would likely feel more evenly skilled. The downside is that you move to a point where matches are 50/50 and the only way to actually push through and win is to play hardcore. If you don't give it your all, you slide back and lose over and over.

In a competitive sense, that's great. Effort = Reward. In an enjoyable game sense, it means it's Tryhard or lose... which can get really frustrating long-term in that there's no ability to just... play.

Random will yield weird results sometimes, but on a whole it's just going to be a random smattering of whoever's on and hit the Battle button, so it gives a lot of replayability due to the completely unpredictable nature of what you'll face and see. Also, given the nature of the random, sometimes you're the best on the server and other times you're the worst... so it can make for hi...

That's been an issue for some people and we're trying to figure that one out.

Can we get a screenshot of the Browser Console if there are errors existing?

Also, you can try Logging In through the WGC client. Sometimes that seems to cut through the loading weirdness.

According to your account, the AFK/Leaver flag was incurred on the 3rd to last game you played while in a Chapayev. Look for the 3rd to last replay in your Replays folder so you can examine that for anything.

The last three games recorded were all Chapayev games, so you should have received some form of information prior to ending your session. It doesn't look like there's any strange IP activity, so I wouldn't worry about account access stuff.

Definitely worth sending a message to Customer Support and having them see if there's anything they can find.

If you experience something like that, save the replay from the battle and send a Ticket to Customer Support.

As in, you're completely stopping use of the game because of getting Rental Subs from a Combat Mission? or, you're not playing so you can avoid earning the Subs from a combat mission?

Sure, adding a new Ship Type would mean different things to consider. The same would happen if DDs were removed as that would also alter the expectations of what could happen.

Would that translate into hiding in a ball? No. I've played high-level hurricane clan battles on world-ranked teams using CVs, and players push, take objectives, and hold map positions.

There was a shooter game that was in testing. Players hated the Shotgun because it was too weak and too ineffective. The devs looked into that and found the damage and capability of the shotgun was where it should be.

So, they changed the sound effect to a meatier, nastier boom. Players loved the Shotgun because it was so powerful and strong... even though it was the same.

Perception is really a very large part of everything, which is tough because it can make issues harder to drill down into because it's less about actual interaction and more about perceived interaction.

CVs really don't do anything here. As a person with literally thousands of CV matches, I can tell you directly that ships push up and do things.

As for Battleships that use their range, that's normal. They have range to use. Further, the closer you get to enemies the easier you are to hit, so newer players that prefer not to get sunk hang back (which is perfectly normal). While it's harder to deal damage from longer ranges, it's less likely to be damaged in return, so you'll find newer or less experienced players gravitating toward the "die-less-easily" option, which Battleships are the best at providing already.

Paolo is a Research Bureau ship that functions as a playstyle/test concept. The Tech Tree line being less one-note is normal as Premiums can be niche since they're Premiums.

We deliberately stepped away from making DDs the premier anti-sub ship type to allow them do be Destroyers in our game. The DD role is already overtaxed with things to do.

If a Sub slips behind enemy lines, they can run down the Sub in safety. If the Sub stays with their frontline/team, then a DD shouldn't feel required to deal with that in the same way that they shouldn't rush an enemy frontline to shoot a DD.

We are constantly doing this. We use Polls and Surveys through direct means on a continual basis.

9% Editorialize that Content


90% Consume Content

In short, look to loudest and most powerful voice. Then look to see how many people repeat or respond to that loudest, most powerful voice. Then, look to see how many people listen on whole without really saying anything outside of whether they agree or not and whether something should be done or not.

This is how you can identify Narratives, which can often grow larger than life.
