So this has to do with, from my understanding, the token needing to be refreshed. Right now, we’ll need a patch to fix it, so we’re refreshing the token manually until we roll out that fix.

I appreciate the excitement and totally get it, but right now, I want to just set expectations and not set them too high. As you mentioned, players can feel different ways about different things, so I don’t want to start potential fires where they can be avoided. But speaking of fires, we are looking at Pyro, as well as other career spots. They likely won’t all get addressed, but we’re trying to hit the larger ones.

Regarding OP, our last “big balance beta” was around three years ago. Which is a long time, to be fair, I know. We’ve had minor balance passes here and there on a per weapon/career/ability/ad hoc basis. There will not be a balance patch arriving with Necromancer. We would like to do one for Q4 for this year (still nailing down feasibility; will make an attempt to keep everyone updated if this changes), and we’re making a hit list of what we’d like to address, but I’m not sure of the extent of this ...

Not sure I would call this exactly a development blog
Give it time; we have more “development” type blogs in the pipeline for you.
Let me check on that one; we just locked down the extraneous patch notes (stuff that doesn’t involve Necromancer) yesterday.
The Ubersreik Five have been through some stuff haven’t they? Confounding the evil machinations of the Skaven at Ubersreik (even if they couldn’t quite save the city in the process). Then thwarting the Pactsworn alliance in the depths of Helmgart (again, a bit late to actually save the city, but who’s quibbling?). Little did they know that these weren’t isolated invasions of the kind the Empire has endured since its founding, but harbingers of a new and terrible age: the End Times, when the laughter of the dark gods finally swallows the world.
The Five have known for a while that something isn’t right, of course. Tzeentch, the Chaos God of Change, ha...
Read moreAs far as I know it’s one of those “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature!” things. I can bring it up to the team, but I suspect it might require a pretty hefty overhaul for how our enemy AI paths and how the slot system functions.
Edit: A word
No news right now. Still digging into it to see what changed and will continue to work towards a solve when we’re back in the office on Monday!
Weapon breakdown per career DLC:
Weapons like Moonfire Bow, etc. are part of the Forgotten Relics pack, Winds of Magic, or Back to Ubersreik and not part of career DLC.
*Outlier - Additional weapons were created due to lore reasons that locked Warrior Priest out of Victor’s other shared career weapons.
I don’t think any of the DLC classes got a full array except Warrior Priest, which had to do with lore-wise, his class couldn’t use a lot of Victor’s already existing weapon set. The rest having two new is pretty standard for our releases.
We’ve seen some questions regarding Sienna’s arsenal with the launch of Necromancer so we’ve gone ahead and prepared this graphic for you all to reference at a glance!
The new weapons coming with the Necromancer career are the Enso...
Read moreSoooo… we pushed a fix in the backend earlier today, which solved the issue temporarily; but after digging further on the second break, it seems there’s a new process in the backend to connect to Twitch (probably pushed by Twitch as a developer themselves). Our backend engineers are looking into it and working on a solve to be rolled out soon.
Hey there;
So TA was planned before KA, but there was some debate if one should come before the other since they were developed somewhat close to each other. However, TA was completed first. I suppose if you had to have a canonical order, it would be KA then TA, but Lohner’s Chronicles somewhat dispute that.
I’m afraid I’m not allowed to reveal what our future content will be; you’ll just have to wait and see
Yes, we have plans for it. V2 is no longer in a launch cycle, but we’re not in sunsetting mode yet either. We call this “maintenance” in the industry; it’s the in-between stage between the former two. I’ve seen some new content being developed, and once we’re in a solid spot and ready to promote it, we’ll be able to tell you all more.
I suspect Lohner’s Chronicles will cover some of the reactions to her reveal in time. It will change how they view her, but they won’t stop working together (I assume, as that would make the game quite awkward ...
Read moreSo, on Tower of Treachery can I play Necromancer Sienna (who is now merged with Sofia)?
I don’t see why we would lock you out, but I’d need to see what happens with the narrative team.
Can Necromancer Sienna-Sofia wear a Myrmida frame?
We don’t lock frames that way. You can wear whatever frame you want. It’s just user decoration.
How on earth does the rest of the team accept a Necromancer in their ranks, particularly Saltzpyre who as a Warrior Priest or Witch Hunter would certainly attempt to kill anyone using necromancy on the spot? A fire wizard is one thing, but how do you get a Warrior Priest or Witch Hunter working with a necromancer?
We’ll likely have a dev blog exploring the lore with the writers up in the future. But I do want to remind everyone that our characters are not meant to be static paragons of their ideals. Over the years, we developed them as human (...
