How far do you get when launching the game? Do you see the launcher? Do you get to the main menu?

If you haven't already, try unsubscribing the mods in question, waiting for Steam to remove the files, then subscribe to them again. That will give you a fresh install of the mods. I've come across a few people lately where the mod files got messed up in some way, so perhaps that's what's happening here. At least it's worth a try if you'd like to use both. :)

It's a pretty generic error, so to really see what's going on, we'd need to have a look at your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux). This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some sites you can upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

For reference there's how much different amounts of RAM can handle. Any more than that and you are relying on virtual memory (pagefile) and the speed of your harddisk, which is much slower than RAM. :)

The average rule of thumb for the base game is:
4GB: 0-10 assets
8GB: 100-400 assets
12GB: 400-800 assets
16GB: 800-1200 assets
24GB: 1200-2000 assets
32GB: 2000-2800 assets
64GB: 2800-6000 assets

If you have any of the major DLC's or content creator packs, reduce the asset count by another 400 each. Each DLC adds about 250-400 assets to the game.

Here's a collection of a few mods which add more things to deal with. I don't have experience with all of them, but afaik they are all compatible with the latest patch. They might have incompatibilities with other mods and definitely check out the descriptions and any guides since some of them are pretty complex. :)

Here is how I mean

I only count 25, but if I go buy tiles in game later on, will they be available more to the edge of the map then?

Most mods are designed to work in the game itself, and not the editors. 81 tiles is an example of that, and you shouldn't have the mod running while working on a map in the editor. 8... Read more

I only have one thing to add to Termite's great explanation of the differences and that relates to spawning. If a style doesn't include something (a certain lot size or type of zoning), then the game will just fill that in with random buildings. As an example, if you have a style for low density residential, then you will just have random commercial grow in the district with that style applied.

Building Themes will ONLY allow buildings in a theme to spawn in a district. So in the same situation, where a theme only has low density residential buildings, you would have no commercial spawn at all. Ofc you can add multiple themes which makes it easy to deal with (I used to have several residential themes and then 1-2 themes with commercial, offices and industry), but it's something that's important to keep in mind in case you have nothing spawn in a district. :)

In case you didn't already do that, the best way to eliminate mods is using the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods in Steam. If it happens with those, then it's definitely not a mod problem.

What's your specs? Specifically your graphics card.

Sounds like you might have problems with the launcher. Please see this thread for troubleshooting steps, and if they don't help, a link to contact Paradox Support.

2 GB RAM is below the system requirements and your game is crashing as it's running out of available memory. Definitely add the Loading Screen Mod, set the texture quality to low and increase your pagefile max size to 32GB. Also make sure to shut down all other programs that you don't need while the game runs to save memory.

It's possible to do with ModTools, but it's kinda messy. I can't remember all the bits you need to change, but at least the building AI and probably also ItemClass. ModTools has an option to copy those things from other buildings - and you can find the default ones in the SunnyCollections and copy from there. There might be a bunch of trial and error to get things working though.

They can land at both. Since they are prefering one over the other, that airport is probably more efficient for them to get to where they're going. The AI tends to pick the fastest route, so using your international airport might just be a slower way to get where they're going.

If you post your city or screenshots from it, you might get some recommendations for what could be done to make your international airport more attractive to use.

Have the buildings reverted to their normal type (usually unique buildings)? Or have the numbers just changed? Did you just recently switch from the original RICO to this one? Any other mods you added lately or which updated?

More details would really help us help you. Are we talking about a map you made in the map editor? Or are we talking about a city you have been working on?

A look at your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) would also help us figure out what's going on. This guide explains where to find it and suggests some sites you can upload it to, as we can't attach files here on Steam.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but there's a few things to try to recover from a simulation error. First is the Loading Screen Mod's Safe Mode, which is explained here: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/833779378/1635291505029642401/

Next is the Save Our Saves mod. Make sure to enable it before loading as it will be disabled by default. You can use both it and Safe Mode at the same time if you'd like. :)

If you can post your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) from right after a freeze/crash like that, then we might be able to spot what's happening. This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some places to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam. :)

After uninstalling the launcher, make sure to check that no files are left behind. You will want to look for and delete these folders as well (if they exist):

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcherpath (should be gone)
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2 (should only contain logs)

Then start the game through Steam and the launcher will install itself again. If you're still having issues after doing that, then I really recommend contacting Paradox Support, so they can help you get things running and log any bugs that might need fixing.

Specialised industries produce the raw materials generic industry uses to make goods, which are in turn used by commercial. Offices do not need goods. The regular offices just provide jobs, while the IT offices produce some goods.

You don't technically need industry in your city, and if you have enough IT offices, you can supply your commercial with that. But if commercial needs more goods, they will import instead, which costs them more than local goods would, meaning less tax for you.

You can use the "Outside Connections" info view on the panel on the left to see which buildings import (or export) to see if you are fulfilling your city's needs locally or if some import is needed.

"Not enough buyers" pretty much means "my internal storage is full and all my delivery trucks are busy." Since you have it along with "Not enough raw materials" I wonder if you're hitting the vehicle limit. If your buildings' delivery trucks were just all busy, then cargo stations/harbors/airports should have helped the problem some at least. And since you have TMPE with no despawning, it is at least possible you're hitting the limit.

You can get CSL Show More Limits to check how close to the vehicle limit you are. If you're close, then your buildings are likely unable to spawn delivery trucks at all until some other vehicle despawns. To fix that, you'd need to lower vehicle usage, which is usually done by having lots of efficient public transport, paths and bike paths.
