Yes, that's normal. They don't clean the water completely, so some pollution makes it into the water.

I'm pretty sure random disasters are disabled on scenarios.

I'm really not great at public transport and still trying to figure out how to set it up well, but last year bsquiklehausen made a couple of videos with some great tips for designing transport networks. So I'll just drop some links to them here in case they are helpful to others. :)

Depending on how much you'd like this, there are a few options. Tim the Terrible has some really nice custom rails, where you can recolor the gravel with Network Skins 2. But that means a pack of rail tracks and a mod to do it.

If you can give us more details on what's happening and how far you get, then we should be able to help you get things running. :)

If you don't see the launcher or have issues getting passed the launcher, then please try the steps in this thread. And if that doesn't help, contact Paradox Support (link at the bottom).

If you can post the output log (player.log) from after having any of the issues, that will help us narrow down what's happening as well. This guide explains where to find it and suggests some places to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

If you don't mind mods, you can use Advanced Stop Selection to pick which side should be used.

I recommend you remove More Beautification, as it hasn't been updated in a long time and has a few issues. Larger Footprints is also really old and not updated. I advice against using it and removing any buildings that need it.

You also look to have the old Ploppable RICO. I recommend switching to the newer version.

How long have you left the game to try and load? There aren't any errors in your log, so we don't have a lot to go on. Trying to leave it for a while (15-20 min) to see if it eventually crashes might reveal something in the log.

Try using the Loading Screen Mod's Safe Mode options, especially the one to clear all citizens (looks like a wildlife spawner is having problems, and animals are considered citizens).

The best way for us to help is by taking a look at your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux). This guide explains where to find the log and suggests places you can upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

Try using Move It to select and bulldoze what's remaining of the deleted trash collectors. If that doesn't help, then I suggest trying the Save Our Saves mod. Make sure it's enabled and that you restarted the game before loading your save, so it's a fresh load. Hopefully that mod can clean up the error for you.

Fish is its own resource and cannot be stored in warehouses. The warehouse AI simply doesn't support it and doesn't know what to do with it (so the warehouse will just be full of fish that you can't use or export).

The buildings that use fish produce generic goods, which CAN be stored in a warehouse. So if you can get a good flow of fish into fish factories, then you can have it go into warehouses after that.

Without looking at your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) I'm just guessing, but the way it crashes right after the launcher, makes me wonder if you have Citrix Workspace installed.

Oh wow, that's a lot of RAM! And the change is just from removing "Remove Road Textures - Blank Roads"? Definitely worth keeping in mind for others! I wonder if it's causing some error, that's using up a lot of memory. Thanks for sharing your findings! ^^

Your mods are all good, so I don't think they are the cause. My guess is you are running out of memory. You can fix that by increasing the max size of your pagefile for Windows to 32 GB, or by removing workshop assets until it loads.

Sounds like you're having problems with the launcher not installing right this time around. Try the steps in this thread, and if that doesn't work, follow the steps at the end to contact Paradox Support.

If you set no style, then it will spawn a mix of all of the buildings.
