The tracks work very similar to roads now, so you just press page down a few times to get them underground.

It could be lack of RAM, it could be a mod issue. If you can post your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) and the error.log from the crash, then we can take a look. If you get the pop up when it crashes, it mentions a folder where you can find those files. Otherwise this guide explains where to find the logs, and it suggests some places you can upload the log to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

They do actually pick the fastest, not the shortest, which is why manipulating speed limits can be a tool for directing traffic as well. :)

Yeah, Steam has a new bot that checks posts to hide any which contain links to malicious sites trying to steal user's info.

I'm running 64GB of RAM, and with 5800 assets, 80 mods, and all the DLC, CS is only using 35GB of memory. Just an FYI...

Either you have been really lucky and picked the most optimized assets on the workshop, or you still have a significant pagefile going, while Windows reserves the rest of your RAM. My bet is you're still relying on a pagefile with that amount of assets. If you use the Loading Screen Mod, it will show you both RAM usage and virtual RAM (pagefile) as the game loads.

Join in on a Cities: Skylines roundtable, where creators talk about city design, why cities are planned the way they are, the importance of old cities on how a city looks, and how you can see the history of a city from the sky.

For extra confusion you were actually correct in your first assumption. Generic industry does indeed use the specific resources too, along with the more generic "Forestry goods."

Try opening the Content Manager and look under Maps. Make sure all the maps are enabled.

Hmm, and you tried unsubscribing/resubscribing Extra Train Station Tracks as well? Try deleting the station from your city and placing it again. Perhaps the building got a bit buggy when placed causing this to happen.

Err,... Fine Road Anarchy has an On/Off keybind in Ctrl + A. Anyway you can see it under the mod's settings in the game's options menu.

That doesn't matter if you have a bugged version of the mod though. It messes with a flag on the station tracks.

Would you please tell me how to turn off Road Anarchy while playing the game?

You can't. You need to shut down the game, unsubscribe the mod, let Steam remove the files, and then restart the game.

This tends to happen because of a bad asset, which has problems with its LOD model (the lower detail model you see when zooming out). I don't have a great way to narrow down the problem asset, but consider which assets you added around the time you started seeing this and then remove them until you find the one that's causing it.

If you have a Paradox account, you can sign up for the newsletter, which will alert you to sales.

Here's how to do that

You can also add the game/DLCs to your wishlist here on Steam, in which case Steam will tell you when there's a discount.

Problem 1 and 2 are pretty much the same issue. You produce so much raw material, that your city can't keep up. Ways to fix this is add more storage buildings (you need enough trucks to be able to handle your production) and making it easier to export the excess raw materials by having a cargo station/harbor/airport nearby.

I go into a bunch more detail in this guide, but in short it's a question of enough storage, so you have enough trucks to distribute and export the amount your are producing. :)

So does that mean I could currently get everything in the game (if I also get the DLC)?

Almost. There's one DLC with real football stadiums which is no longer available, but everything else you can still get.

It might also be worth unsubscribing Extra Train Station Tracks, letting Steam remove the files, and then subscribe to it again. That mod also needed an update after the Sunset Harbor patch, so perhaps your files haven't updated properly.

And definitely make sure you don't have any of the old broken road anarchy mods. All of these are broken:

Fine Road Anarchy (not version 2)
Fine Road Tool (not version 2)
Road Anarchy
Road Anarchy 2
Advanced Road Anarchy
Sharp Junction Angles

No worries! I wish I could have been more help.

It might be worth posting on the official support forums too. Besides Paradox Support, there are a handful of tech savy players who visit regularly, and it doesn't get nearly as many posts as on here, so less daily posts for yours to disappear in. And you can attach the log or save directly to a post there, which is pretty handy.

It happens because the curved segment gets split in two new bits if you connect to anywhere that doesn't already have a node. The trick is to create more nodes in the right place and then connect to them. Then it doesn't deform. You can do that by adding a cross inside it, though you will likely need Fine Road Anarchy 2 to do that for any smaller roundabouts. This video shows how it's done.

There are the little hints that pop up, but you are correct that there isn't an introduction tutorial. The official channel just started a new livestream series today to help new players get a feel for the game. It shows the console version, but the concept is really the same. You can find the stream from today here:

Czardus also has a nice series that starts all the way at the very first city and covers lots of topics as the city grows:
