Can I get you to try from this URL as well?

https://www.paradoxplaza.com/resetpassword

If that doesn't get you the email either, then I'll need the email attached to your account. I've sent you a DM regarding that, so you don't need to post your email publicly.

The only thing you really need to worry about when adding DLCs is RAM usage and free harddisk space. Each DLC increases your RAM usage somewhere around 2-4 GB depending on how many buildings it contains.

You can edit its properties with Customize It Extended and set Garbage Accumulation to 0. Might also want to change Fire Hazard to 0 to avoid it catching fire.

You can also see your saves in the Content Manager and delete them from there.

This might be related to your situation, depending on where you are trying to reset the password from. Hopefully the link in the article will do the trick for you.

Hello and welcome! ^^

Steam discussions aren't a great option to share things like screenshots, probably because Steam has a section just for screenshots like Streeto pointed out. A lot of good advice ends up in Guides instead of discussions, where it's probably easier to find in the future anyways.

It's probably also partly the fact that problems just tend to get more discussion. If the topic is something we all agree on, then very quickly the responses will have said everything there is to say, and people don't respond so much. If they disagree or if someone has a problem, there will be more responses.

But I totally get how it can look a little intimidating as a new player. :) I do like to see how many of the posts looking for help has answers. Even if seeing all the posts asking for help can give a skewed impression of the game, at least it also shows that if you do run into problems, there's an active community to help you figure out what's up. :)

It's hard to say what's causing the crash for you. I suggest you post on the official forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com] and upload your output/player log there after a crash, so we can see what's happening and hopefully find a solution.

Steam had an issue a week or so ago, where downloads would get "stuck" and had to be cleared. Ofc that shouldn't affect stuff you've been subscribed to for a while, but might be worth checking just in case.

In the Steam Client, check the Downloads page. Is the download stuck there? Perhaps with a "Missing Downloaded Files" error?

If so, that happens on occasion, it's a corrupted temp download file. If you've got the Missing Downloaded Files error, try this:

1. Close down steam completely (so Steam > Exit in the upper left menu),
2. go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop.
3. Delete the Downloads folder.
4. Then restart Steam. Resume the download if needed.

5. If that didn't help, hover over the "Missing Download Files" text and note the Steam ID. (the string of numbers).
6. Repeat step 1 and 2.
7. Open the 255710 folder.
8. Delete the folder with the mod's SteamID.
9. Repeat step 3 and 4.

I believe they will just disappear. Potentially you'll have some errors pop up (one per building that's disappeared) when you load, but you should be able to click them away, and loading up next time shouldn't have them.

If you do it, then definitely save as a new file when you have swapped to boreal, so if something unexpected happens, you can swap back to the winter version. :)

How long have you been waiting for the email? I know, when we did the giveaway, the servers got a bit overloaded and some emails took a few hours to arrive. Afaik there isn't a reason why the servers should have issues today, but perhaps they are just being super slow and will arrive later.

You won't be able to post on the forums, and I don't think you can make a ticket with Paradox without logging in either. So you'd need to set up another account to get in contact with support.

Definitely also check every inbox you might have. I have gotten some emails from Paradox in "Promotions" which isn't my inbox, but isn't spam either. So if you have multiple tabs in the Inbox, definitely check them all.

I've seen more cloud saves corrupt than non-cloud saves, though it's still so small an amount that it's more anecdotal than anything else.

Regardless of where you save though, doing like snowflitzer said and always saving as a new file is the best way to protect your city. If one save corrupts, you just lose some progress as you go back to the save before. Much better than losing everything because you only had one.

If you end up with a lot of saves, you can move the files out of the savegame folder and store them somewhere else on your computer as backups.

Please don't start a new thread to reply to another person from another thread. Just reply in their thread, so they (and anyone else) can find the responses.

My guess would be a mod is causing issues. It's always best to disable any mods you don't need in the editors. If you don't need any mods, then you can easily disable them all with the launch option -disableMods

I would also look at mods you have recently subscribed to or mods that have opdated recently since it's a new issue for you. That might help you find the mod messing with things, so you can disable it while in the editor.

Exactly what Verullus Forgefire said. This is consoles getting their giveaway since they weren't included in the Parklife one we had here on Steam last month.

When figuring out if something works or not, I always assume anything that isn't a mod works, even if the comments say otherwise, and then just test it myself. I get regular comments on my stuff from people who have some issue and tell me the asset is broken. Often it's a mod or not understanding how the specific asset works. I usually get around to answering and explaining, but not all creators have the time, especially if they get many of those comments, so the comment section can sometimes be filled with comments that aren't confirmed.

For mods I also tend to test things myself, but that's a little more complicated and risky. A buildling won't mess up my save, but a mod might. Generally I always recommend saving as a new file every time you save your city. It protects you against the file corrupting, but it also leaves you with backups in case a mod messes up something. It's a good way to approach mods, even new ones that you assume work. :)

Are you using mods? Because there should be a Properties window in the bottom right corner. Lots of mods break the editors though, as they were designed for the simulation and not the editors. Try loading your game with the launch option -disableMods and see if that helps.

The giveaway is indeed just for console this time around, as we had the Parklife giveaway just be for Steam. This is console players' chance to get something nice for free. :)
