If you go to the folder mentioned in the pop up, there are a bunch of files, which will help us see what the problem is. You can find the folder by going into Properties for the game in Steam, then selecting Local Files and have it show local files.

If you can upload the files somewhere and share a link here, we can take a look. This guide has some suggestions for sites to use.

It is still relevant to find out if they are related to the issues you are having, so I still suggest you try disabling them to see if things work or not.

Ploppable RICO is actively maintained, so if there is an issue with it, it's likely just a matter of time before it would be fixed (depending ofc on the creator's amount of free time and how complicated it is to fix).

It might also be a conflict with another mod. A lot of mods use Harmony, and some mods are switching to a newer version of Harmony, which is expected to cause some issues. That means as mods slowly switch, we might see new incompatibilities or strange issues. Narrowing down which mods are affected and not playing nice is how we can help the modders know what needs fixing. :)

I see some old mods in there:

- Fine Road Anarchy. It's broken and conflicts with the working Fine Road Anarchy 2. Unsubcribe from FRA and keep version 2.
- More Beautification. Partially broken. Unsubscribe it and use Find It instead.
- Network Skins. Not broken afaik but I recommend switching to Network Skins 2 instead. Remember to remove the old one.

As far as I'm aware there are currently some issues with Ploppable RICO and certain other mods, so disabling that might be worth a try. Ofc that might mess with your city depending on how many buildings use the mod to function.

I've also seen some problems with Building Anarchy pop up, so I would recommend trying to disable that as well. Both of those mods could affect things like buildings' ability to detect that they have power and water.

Can you upload your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) somewhere and drop a link here? Then we might be able to sort out what's happening, at least if it's mod related.

This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some places you can upload the file to.

Are you perhaps using any mods? I see you have a few different issues, which makes me wonder if you have a mod acting up causing all of that.

In the Content Manager, do you see the items under the bottom category Steam Workshop? Or is that empty too?

Can you upload a log from the attempt without Building Anarchy?

You can also try using the Loading Screen Mod to load in Safe Mode. Here's how that's done:

And then there's Save Our Saves, which is worth trying as well.

I would definitely try to reduce the amount of assets significantly - either by unsubscribing or just disabling to test. 6000 assets take up around 64 GB of RAM. The free patch included some new assets, so it might simply have pushed you over what your system was able to handle well. If you got the DLC as well, you should expect to remove 3-400 assets to get down to the amount you were at before.

It depends on your specific card. You might be able to run the game, though you might need a launch optin to turn down the graphics and it will probably need to run on low settings.

It's important to keep in mind, that while the game might run, unsupported means it might not continue to run with updates. And should it stop working at some point, it is unlikely that there will be a fix (provided the existing launch option doesn't help).

For Windows it's -force-d3d9
For Mac it's -force-opengl (if I remember correctly)

of course it is known, that one subscription can contain many different assets (e.g. Construction Equipment props pack contains 26 assets). But I noticed something weird, which actually proves, that LSM doesn't count all assets. I did three different tests on my machine.

During the first test, I loaded CS with only mods on. LSM showed 40 assets (mostly Ploppable Asphalt +, NEXT2 etc.). Reading through the LSM Report afterwards, I copied the asset list in an excel sheet. The count of Assets was correct, at 40.

Test two was bigger, I loaded up about 150 Workshop-Subscriptions and fired up CS. Afterwards, reading through the LSM Report and comparing the lists (again in Excel), I notic...

Hmm, the fact that it runs fine with -noWorkshop but has the problem with -disableMods is unsual. I wonder if it's related to memory use, since assets causing issues like this is extremely rare (and I don't think I've ever heard of this particular issue caused by an asset).

How many assets are you subscribed to? If you have the Loading Screen Mod installed it will show you how many assets you have as it's loading.

Start by making sure you don't have any known broken mods by comparing your mods to this list:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mVFkj_7ij4FLzKs2QJaONNmb9Z-SRqUeG6xFGqEX1ew/edit#gid=0

If you don't have any listed there as known to be broken, we will need to see your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux). This guide explains where to find it and suggests some places you can upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

You will have to smooth out the terrain using the landscaping tools, as the station track always needs to be flat and will flatten the area like that. Depending on how you'd like it, you could remove both the road, the tracks and the station, flatten the area and smooth out the edges, then place the road, tracks and station on the now flat area.

Try unsubscribing from Building Anarchy.

No, that shouldn't happen. I know it can happen due to a mod messing with the UI, but I'm not certain that's the only reason. If you can upload your output_log.txt (player.log on Mac and Linux) somewhere, then I can take a look and see if I spot a known issue.

This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some places you can upload it to.

The most common reason for the game crashing is running out of memory, typically due to too many assets. I would recommend you subscribe to and enable the Loading Screen Mod. It can help you save a bit of RAM and shows you your RAM usage as the game loads.

If your game crashes with a pop up saying something along the lines of "Oops, the game crashed" then it mentions a folder where you can find the log files from the crash. The error.log and the output_log.txt (player.log on Mac and Linux) will show what caused the crash. If you can upload them somewhere and link to them here, we can see what's up and if it is indeed running out of RAM.

This guide has some suggestions for where to upload the file as well as help you find the different log files.

Likes are what turn into stars, though the system is a bit weird imo.You need 25 votes to get any rating, and ratings start a 3 stars. As an item gets more upvotes, it will get 4 or 5 stars.

Items with 2 or 1 star have received a significant amount of downvotes to reach those rankings. Only few items have this and are usually things that break your game.

And anything with less than 25 votes will have no star ranking.

Let's travel to Rio de Janerio and to the favelas built on the steep mountainous hills. A favela is typically classified as a unique, low and middle-income, and unregulated informal settlement neighborhood in Brazil, and Homine has many great tips on how to use the terrain, and custom mods and assets to create a realistic environment!
