If you're having issues with the launcher, then you will need support. You can either make a ticket[paradox.zendesk.com] or post on the official forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com]. I unfortunately can't help with the launcher, but support can guide you through the steps to get ... Read more

Cities: Skylines comes with a massive workshop full of custom content that lets you customize your game to suit your playstyle, and if you use a lot of mods, you might be worried about what happens to your city now that patch 1.13.0-f7 is here. But fear not! I am here to guide you through the process and help you get back to building.

Since mods change how things work in the game, they are likely to break when a patch makes changes to the game itself, meaning your city won't load/work like it usually does. But don't worry, most mods update pretty quickly or can safely be removed, so you are unlikely to lose your city.

Just don't panic and if you do open your save, don't save over the file - save as a new file instead just to be safe.

If you play with a lot of mods
  • Don’t open your city or cities yet, but wait until most major mods are updated, so nothing breaks.
  • Use the links in this post to see which mods are up...

before entering "--noWorkshop", i can enter the game but i can't play it normally.
may roads are disappeared.

Hmm... I'm gonna send you to the support forum[forum.paradoxplaza.com] as this will need some proper looking into. Not sure why it's crashing for you with the launch option, that definitely shouldn't happen. When you post there, it would be super helpful if you can attach ... Read more

Hmm, I wonder if the game is using the Intel instead of your dedicated GPU. I suggest posting on the support forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com] and including your player.log file there. It will show what's up and they can help you if it is indeed because it's using the weaker graphics card.

Hmm, must be one that hasn't been discovered yet. Can you post your output log somewhere? Then I'll take a look.

This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some sites where you can post the log and share a link, since you can't upload files to Steam.

It sounds very much like you have a mod that's broken. Please see this post and check if it's one that's already known to be broken.

Is it okay if i have an explanation to why C:S Sunset Harbour not coming out when it said it would? I live in GB, and english time is two hours behind finland time, and it said it would be releasing at 10:00 am CET, and that is 8:00 am GMT, and it's 9 o' clock and it's still not ready yet. Is that just a problem with me, or...?

10 CET is 11 local time in Finland and 9 GMT.

Greetings, fellow city-builders, and welcome to another Sunset Harbor Dev Diary! This time we'll check out the free content coming with the update.

Overground Metro Imagine a busy city center, people walking towards a metro station and a metro train passing by in the background... That's right! One of the most highlyanticipated features, the overground metro, is coming to Cities: Skylines! Now you finally have the ability to build street level metro tracks or even raise them off the ground entirely! Plus, there are two new metro stations and a brand new metro vehicle as well. The new stations can naturally be connected to your old metro lines and underground metro network. These new buildings unlock at Milestone 6.

Since the metro vehicle model now looks more realistic and is longer than the old one, some changes were made to the underground metro stations and pathfinding. This feature won't affect old saves, however you won't be able to make the tracks turn as sharp... Read more

I recommend opening a ticket with Paradox[paradox.zendesk.com] or posting on the official forum[forum.paradoxplaza.com] to get help with this. The launcher just updated today, so you might have a completely new issue, which other players might not be able to help with.

There isn't any good way since Steam broke offline mode, but you can kinda trick Steam. Set the game to only update when launched, start Steam like normal and then disconnect the internet before launching the game. It isn't ideal at all, but for a couple of days I guess it's doable.

Greetings fellow city-builders and welcome to another Sunset Harbor Dev Diary!

This time, we look at new maps and policies as well as the new unique building, all of which are coming in Sunset Harbor. Let's start with the maps!

Maps Sunset Harbor introduces five new maps to the game. The maps differ from each other significantly, and each one brings along new challenges into your city-building. Are you ready to take the first steps and start on this journey that will take us from serpentine river filled swamp lands all the way to something we've never done before in Cities: Skylines, a desert? Join us!

Located in a large, open bay area overlooking the vast ocean, Azure Gulf offers good outside connections by ship. With small lakes and several rivers of various sizes, Azure Gulf is an ideal place to start a booming Fishing Industry. This temperate map is also rich in ore and forests.

You don't have to start all over every time. You will likely need to check your mods a bunch of times to remove broken ones and you might need to remove some workshop assets to make room for the new content, but starting fresh isn't a requirement. Some people choose to do so, but it's just an option.

I hate the idea of having to find all the goodies I'm subscribed to, so I haven't unsubscribed everything ever. I've removed lots of mods and assets over the years, but I really don't like starting all over again. :P

If you want to give it a go at not starting fresh this time, I suggest checking out this thread and following it in the weeks after release. I will be updating it with information to help others figure out what mods break and need to be removed, so they can get back to playing. And if there's something it doesn't answer, just ask. I'm here to help others with modded games through the update. :)

Hello! Welcome yet again to another Cities Skylines: Sunset Harbor Dev Diary! So please, stay a while and... read!

In this Dev Diary, we'll be taking a look at the Waste Transfer System and Inland Water Treatment features coming with the Sunset Harbor DLC!

Waste Transfer System The Garbage city service is getting expanded with a Waste Transfer System feature. Players have at times experienced difficulties with the Landfill site's reach or the fact that it creates highly polluted areas in the middle of the city. The Waste Transfer System is an upgrade to the base game's garbage service, and it focuses on solving these problems and improving the gameplay in relation to the Garbage city service. While the base game Landfill Sites and Incinerators, along with Green Cities DLC Recycling Centers, can be used alongside the new Waste Transfer System, the new system's core idea is to make handling garbage easier and more flexible without compromising the city layout as drasti...
